You wake up tomorrow in a world without religion

It is now completely illegal to practice or be part of anything religious.

Do you see this as a good thing or a bad thing.

I personally see it as a good thing. I have never believed in a God of any kind. Never even believed in Santa as a kid.

I also think the world will progress much faster and be a closer community due to no one true book to govern lives or try and provide all of the answers. Nothing divides people more than religion in my eyes so the sooner it does one the better.

Thoughts?

It's a bad thing because the only thing holding me back from doing some horrible horrible and I mean HORRIBLE stuff, is my belief that I might burn in hell for doing it. I'm sure there are millions of people like me with only religion stopping them from being a menace to society.

Currently the elite are trying to wipe out Christianity and its values through media perversion (Trannies, fluid genders, promiscuity) and opening the borders to refugees so it will happen soon apart from whatever the elites worship.

Religion as a whole never divided anyone, it all stems from 2 religions and their thirst for control and power. I will not name these religions.

I will say that Sikhism and Christianity are the godmode religions imo.

If a story in a book is stopping you from doing such things then you're a pretty bad person, you know that right? Your moral compass has gone done goofed.

If that's no troll post this means you've been raised by oblivious parents in a toxic environment & you have no morals and values.

Yes, imo it would make the world a much better place, religion is just something that holds progress down and creates false perception of being a good person

Humans are dead set on killing each other. In fact the one common thread between all cultures and civilizations is that they've always found a way to do 2 things. 1. Become intoxicated 2. Discover more efficient ways of murdering people.

If it wasn't organized religion it would be something else.

Another massively uniformity between humans is their fear of the unknown and it just so happens that there's nothing more unknown than our knowledge what comes after death. It's only natural that people in power would want to control spirituality and religion as a way of manipulating large groups of people

Nothing changes. If you believe religion is bull****, you should also believe that people are people. Fanatics and retards will use whatever to convince themselves to do stupid stuff. You will still need a government, with laws that the masses follow. A select few will still be in power and control the masses. New propaganda and cults will be invented.

Lots of people make a mistake of confusing tribalism and religion. You want a world without tribal practices and motivations not religious practices. Besides take North Korea as an example of how the world would look, you would be likely to get dictatorship and totalitarianism than cooperation in a morally bankrupt world where there is only civil consequences for your actions.

Yeah, I'm sure nobody can decipher what religions and "elite" you're referring to.

I'm guessing they're the Buddhists and Mormons right?

Those Buddhists always blowing themselves up and discriminating against women and gays.

Those Mormon's always controlling the world as a shadow government of bankers and Hollywood elite.

Guess I'm an outlaw.

You would be better off trying to convince people with words that there are no religions rather than laws.

You don't need religion to have solid moral values and be a good person. The problem with religion is that it is used in the name of self righteous judgmental bs used by far too many. People tend to pick and choose which parts of their religious beliefs apply to them and to others. Suddenly finding God doesn't mean one's past years as a drug addict thieving pos magically disappear. The majority of church go'ers leave their beliefs in the church parking lot once the service ends.

I have never needed a book to know it's wrong to kill someone or cause them harm. If you need a book to tell you how to get along in a community then you no doubt read the instruction of how to use your new toaster.

Pretty sure humans have been living alongside each other in communities for many years before someone thought you could put all of the answers to life and the universe in one single book without any revised editions, just translations.

Lol this ^^. What are you OP, some edgy 16 year old *******?

I agree nothing would change, in fact I'd argue things would change for the worse, especially in a country like the United States.

We can already see how America has been on a steady decline in almost every facet as the society becomes more and more secularised.

Just LMAO if you think this country will ever thrive in the way that it did if we continue to reject the judeo-christian values and worldview it was founded upon.

And that's where you're wrong. You mightbelievethat murdering or harming someone is wrong, but how do youknowit is wrong? Because you learned it was wrong from your parents, school, government? Can you even consider your parents, your schools, or your government ethical? If not, then they cannot be the source of your, or anyone else's ethics.

At that point, ethics are a simple matter of opinion. You are also taking a great leap of faith in humanity with your confidence that other people share the same ethical code as you do. A brief look at history can show you they surely do not.

The problem is that Germany didn't think the same way in the 1940s. Their standard of murder was different than with ours. Then there were other countries that agreed with Hitler and did the same thing. Hilter was using his subjective standard of morality, rather than adhering to Gods objective standard where it is immoral to murder another. Since it's a violation of God holy nature, and morals are a reflection of Gods character. Not what he tells us in his word.

God had to get Moses to write the commandments because people were stupid and making their own standard up. Things were getting muddy on what God had said verbally and it got out of hand. since people were using their own subjectivity to translate what God had said verbally to Israel.

So Moses had to write it down. I only say this because people here are thinking that Christians think that we get our morals from the bible. No. Our morality come from the character of God, they were built inside of us at birth. It's only written to us in his word as a reference point. If we forget or get into a argument with another on if it's wrong to murder. We can refer to his word.

So if Hilter says that murdering Jews is the right thing to do. I can argue with him saying that no, it is murder in the eyes of God and that he needs to repent from his sins. You wouldn't have that same luxury, since it's the same subjective standard that you would be standing on. An opinion. At this point, you would need to appeal to force in order to stop him from murdering jews.

Edit: I speak for God of the bible and the messiah Christ. Not any other religion.
"Don't be envious when the grass is greener on the other side because you don't know how much crap it took to fertilize that ground.

Are you ready? "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins. (John 8:24).

Interesting that you single out a single religion for a bigoted statement like that.
