HAPPY FRIDAY THREAD...I found a kitty...

Happy friday boyos. On my way in this morning I saw something in the middle of the street. As I passed I looked in my rearview mirror and saw it moving so I pulled a you-e, and went back to investigate. I went back, and this little girl was huddled under the curbing, soaking wet. No mother in sight, it let me pick it up without any hissing or incident. As a matter of fact when I put her back down in the grass she walked back over to me, so I knew I had to take her.



She has a little bit of an eye infection, but the rescue group I took her to (no kill) will get her fixed up, and she should be adopted almost immediately.

So that's the start to my weekend, hopefully the rest is as eventful.

I did, but it was just too many hurdles to overcome. 1. I would have to cross the US/Canada border with it, and i'm not quite sure how she would have handled the drive. 2. I have a 9 year old b1tch of a cat, that most likely would have hurt it. But trust I really thought about it.

Not sure yet. Maybe side hustle, maybe career change. Hotels is a great industry but it's a 24/7/365 gig and I'd like to eventually have either a Mon-Fri or something where I can work from anywhere. I make ~$85k right now so it will take a little time to get back to that in tech, but I'm out here getting my learn on trying to fix that.

Yeah woulda been tough. Glad you got the kitter in good hands, someone will give him a nice home.

We recently got our daughters a 8 month Tabby kitty. I was never a cat person but I gotta say she's a cute little thing. Super loveable and follows me everywhere in the house. Gets along great with my pup too.

Oh yeah, the woman I met with said "she wont be here long", so I know she's going to find a nice home soon. They break you down so easy...hit you with the big eyes, do something cute, and you're hooked.

good on you OP srs. we had a stray roaming around our neighborhood and tried to nab her to get her fixed but she was pretty smart and couldnt catch her.

brb go on vacation for a week, hope and pray the cat survives

come back to 6 kittens in my fukkin yard. was so happy but also annoyed. multiplied the problem

I know those feels, we have a pretty big spay and neuter program in my city. We had a cat family of about 7 and we were fortunate to get 4 fixed, but some are just to cunning to be caught.Are they still hanging around your neighborhood? I will admit the one good thing about ferals is they clear out all the vermin. No field mice, rats, nothing.

Like I said before, we would have taken it, but logistically it would have been a pain in the butt. Crossing the border, then having to deal with the two pets I already have. Just wouldn't have been a good situation for her.
