Also an anecdotal note but I find that HIIT makes me hungrier when I'm cutting while walking for a while doesn't really do anything to my appetite.

I do not disagree with anything you said. Two biggest reason why HIT, in my opinion, were the exact two things you said. Lack of volume + chance of injury. To go with your point, changing up to a HIT workout for a 8-10 week cycle is never a bad idea, but I never had a lot of success unless I had a motivating training partner with me. Sucks alone.

Just finished up a press workout. Trying to get ready for the workload that is Jacked n Tan so I tried to get through it as fast as possible. Have the sickest pump right now but I'm starving. Think I'm going to find some carbs and go to town.

Was dropping fat steadily and then stopped. I don't think my body wants to become twink like

as a natural you will have to borderline starve yourself to get the results you want. or do crazy amount of cardio. thats your options.
but at some point you will have to increase activity rather than drop cals to nothing.
reversing is for the most part unnecessary. your body is always going to fight you.
also females have other factors like periods and water retention which can make it hard to gauge progress at times.

However to me cycling on a stationary bike really feels like a chore/boring and doing HIIT sessions feels like a lot of extra work. An HIIT session on my off day makes the off day no longer an off day to me since HIIT is hard training not just recovery work. So if I do these things it just makes the whole diet feel like more work and more mentally stressing.
However doing something like an hour walk outside in the sun while listening to a podcast is pretty chill and doesn't feel like a lot of work but it does burn some calories. So for me I'd rather do that. I'm not contest prepping, I'd be happy with about 9-10% bodyfat. I think for people who try to get beach ripped and not contest shredded it's better to do what you enjoy rather than doing something you find to be a chore for a minimal extra benefit. For me it probably wouldn't add any benefit at all since it would stress me more mentally and make the cut feel more ''hard'' which could effect hormones and diet adherence. For HIIT session I need to pshyche myself up and motivate myself. Don't really need to do that to take a walk outside.

What they fail to realize is, 60g of protein was established based on developing countries. We are not a developing country and need more than that, especially when active.1500 is too low for a female and putting her in a dangerous category according to my ED nutritionist. My wife is a T1 diabetic. She has amazing control of her diabetes and he insulin use is quite low, which is a good thing. The dietician wanted to change up her diet and suggested we double her carb intake. LMAO!! That means double the insulin intake, which means more difficulty controlling her blood sugars, which also leads to even more weight gain over what the carbs will already be adding. The dietician's diet would have made her gain over 30lbs.
Unless you work with a nutritionist/dietician that has real world experience in all areas, take their advice with a grain of salt.

Yeah sorry but if you're a natty female you're not gonna be getting lean on 1800 calories. Even juicehead females are eating low amounts of food.
When I was sub 150lbs I was eating 1800 calories and losing 1lb per week and I was VERY active.
Females weren't meant for the bodybuilding lifestyle tbh. It fukks them up mentally because of the poverty amounts of food they can consume, which severely limits their quality social interactions.

Activity isnt a linear increase either.
If you are 200lbs and 20% bodyfat and increase your activity from 2500 to 10000 steps per day, you might burn an extra 2-300 calories
If you are 200lbs and 10% bodyfat and increase your activity from 2500 to 10000 steps per day, you might burn an extra 4-500 calories
Muscle mass takes more to support.
That is why activity is so important. It's hard to pull something from nothing.

Saw the female who plateaued on 1500 cals, brb at a fairly lean 150 lbs I had to drop to 1400 cals to keep going down, but couldn't handle it and it was the end of the cut.
If you have a legit ED that required professional help at some point then you probably shouldn't be doing this at all tbh. I'm not talking about how half this thread claims to have a "binging disorder", but if you were a true anorexic or bulimic at some point then trying to get shredded is a nice slippery slope for you to be navigating.

High-intensity interval training/sprint interval training
appears to provide similar benefits to MICT for body fat
reduction; however, HIIT/SIT is not a superior method for
fat loss when directly compared with MICT. HIIT/SIT
protocols that are lower in time commitment and expend
less energy may not confer the same benefit on total body
fat reduction compared with MICT. While both HIIT/SIT
and MICT significantly reduced total body fat and fat mass,
neither produced clinically meaningful reductions in body
fat. Therefore, while interval training is an effective method
for improving cardiorespiratory fitness, if body fat reduction
is a therapeutic target, exercise interventions require
an adequate volume of energy expenditure, which may not
be possible with HIIT or SIT.

less energy may not confer the same benefit on total body
fat reduction compared with MICT. While both HIIT/SIT
and MICT significantly reduced total body fat and fat mass,
neither produced clinically meaningful reductions in body
fat. Therefore, while interval training is an effective method
for improving cardiorespiratory fitness, if body fat reduction
is a therapeutic target, exercise interventions require
an adequate volume of energy expenditure, which may not
be possible with HIIT or SIT.

Went to three different breweries this weekend. Hiking and kayaking all day in between them so hopefully God has mercy on my soul.

Females
Small framed men
Either resort to drugs to increase tdee or
Just run from fitness tbh

Dieticians are guilt of this too. They want you to consume 40-60g of protein and fill the rest in with carbs and whatever fat you come across. What they fail to realize is, 60g of protein was established based on developing countries. We are not a developing country and need more than that, especially when active.

I don't like being overweight and tell them to put me in the middle, not as thin as I was but a healthy size, not overweight. They just say "oh you'll eventually get to your set point once your body lets go of the extra fat from the starvation you gave it from dieting (1200 cals a day, 2-3 hours of exercise for about 1 year)" grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
No professional has been able to help me reach a normal size in many years, it's quite frustrating but they say to just accept yourself and be happy you're healthy and not hopping from hospital to hospital.

That's in your head (srs). You attach happiness to a number of calories. Myself and NUMEROUS others have gone well below 1500 calories for extended periods. Most of us have done PSMF with under 1k cals. It's not healthy but it does work.
If 1800 makes you fat and 1500 makes you dizzy, then you either have something wrong physically, or something wrong mentally
