it is what most people want in life and what makes some of them truly happy, but I am with you OP, I am happiest and most content with life and make the most progress on myself when I am alone. I have come to the realization my path in life is without a significant other or children and its been phenomenal. Loving the bank account growing with every paycheck and not worrying about money or giving anyone else attention or planning around someone elses schedule.

no romance without finance. Fuking lmao @ mainstream media parroting why millennials or anyone between 18-30 in western societies are not having kids these days. At the same time in the US, 40% of working Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, don't have $500 in savings, and an car accident, injury, or medical problem away from being broke for a while.

Real wages have fallen while the cost of the essentials have basically gone up in terms of housing, healthcare, and education. Why have children in this time right now to make one's life miserable?

edit: then again, this is coming from a 22 year old guy. When I was 12 or 13, I wanted to date and make a girlfriend because I'm not fond of being lonely but that ship has sailed. I can't really think far ahead when I'm 32 or 33.

It's funny I could easily afford a kid these days; but the fact I have enough money leftover every month that I could literally go to Hawaii every month if I wanted feels a lot better to me.

Everyone has kids. It's not amazing, fascinating, unique, or cool. It's about as exciting as driving a Prius.

rofl. One of my first cousins had her second kid the other day, so between all my first cousins/brother I think this is like the 7th child to come out of my generation in the family.

I didn't even know she was pregnant. It's just a routine now.

I've had various relationships over my life, but I have no family. The women I was with were stupid career types or through bad luck couldn't get pregnant.

So, I've kind of had the life of 30 year old for a long time.

I think it sucks and I would trade a billion dollars for a nice wife and kids.

If god offered me an average salary, a wife I am compatible with, an a kid or two, verses my current life and a billion with no chance of a wife and kid, I'd take the family.

that's too much money. If your wife has to have that kind of money spent on her just to get a piece of paper that says y'all are married, don't marry her. Get married by court.

Society has been convincing everyone from the beginning that man/woman are to move out from parents and get joined and have babies and then the kids repeat. And they all live happily ever after.

I look at people who don't have a spouse and kids, and no pets, and it makes me sad as fuark OP.
I can't imagine hitting 60 years old and looking back at nothing but be a wage earning cuck who basically did nothing except hug his boss's nuts the whole time.

but who was being retired for 15-20 years at 60?

miscers always talk about wagecucks who don't "work for themselves"

but in reality, having your own business but being enslaved to a wife in kids is not working for yourself, it's working for you

whether you get a paycheck from someone else's business or not, you're working for yourself if your units of labor are converted into goods and services for your benefit rather than being hemorrhaged via parasitism

After 5 years of depleting your bank account, I guarantee you go back to hugging corporate nuts again, especially when you realize by 60 you're gonna be broke and/or really bored...and unemployable.

To each his own. I used to only see $$ and didnt want anything, including kids to interfere.

My son is 3.5 and I wouldn't trade him for billions of dollars. Truly priceless.

Its the cliche of you'll never truly understand until you're a parent yourself.

No matter how cool you're trying to sound on the internet.

You can have kids AND make money. Yea it can make things tougher for an average person, but if you're truly a driven person it wont stop any success coming your way.

Just a matter of how you want to live your life, and either way is ok. No need to blast either path.
