8mm? With Nicolas Cage? I vaguely remember that movie as being quite disturbing (also saw it at a young age).

For me it was also IT, must've been around 6-8 and had a sleepover at my aunt's. No clue why she allowed me and my sister to see that movie, terrified me for years. Oh, and Gremlins was quite messed up as well lol.

It's funny, people will call you a helicopter parent if you make it a purpose to shield your kids from crap like this.

I was going to say IT and Child's Play as well.

My brother was 14 and was babysitting and showed it to me when I was 7 because his dad did that to him when he was my age. The shower scene in IT had me scared of showers for like 3 years. I'd stand on the side opposite the drain. Haha also horrifying was that my hometown mall had a clown. So I was like 7 going into the mall horrified of that clown.

Child's Play made me hate my dolls obviously. I wasn't even allowed to watch it but hid around the corner to watch haha

nothing ever really freaked me out as a kid but I do remember watching "The People Under the Stairs" and thinking this is some crazy chit.

The one movie that still creeps me out as an adult is "The Strangers".

The 70's texas chainsaw massacre really phucked me up. I'd never watched any horror films before, and didn't even know what I was watching. I still find old horror movies eerie.. there's something about them.

The ring for sure even though I was like 12 or some chit. Then again I'm a little bish when it comes to scary movies lmao. Getting better though
Entire NYPD should go on strike. You'll see then how quickly the mayor changes his tone.

Robocop, original movie.

There was some seriously violent scenes in that movie, specifically the scene where he gets shot up (before he was robot cop) and the acid bath scene. Scared the chit out of me.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

The sacrifice scene with the heart ripped out then lowered face first into a pit of lava...a little extreme for a supposed family movie

The Ring had me jumping into bed for a good while. Didn't want my legs close to the bed where something could get me from underneath. Nightmares too.
