I've liked both the Black and Red Intense. Extreme has me intrigued. And double black.

It has some rose in it but is not really a rose scent, more of a woody/oud frag that has similarities to Black Afgano but is better.

Hey guys, I just have a question about Aventus..

I owned a bottle in 2012, and I absolutely loved it–I never ended up re-buying as Aventus had sparked my interest in fragrance so I explored.. Now, I want to get myself at least a decant. Now, I've heard a lot of talk of reformulation, the scent being a shadow of its former self etc. etc. Is this true? I got my dad a bottle in 2015, and it still smelled excellent, but a little fruitier than I remembered (I didn't get to test performance).

Anyway, now I have the opportunity to get a 13P01 decant of Aventus. So, do you think the extra money I'll pay for it (about 20 bucks more for 50ml) will be worth it, or is the difference non-existent/negligible? Also, should I be worried about the '13 juice going off anytime soon if I buy it?

Thank you guys!

Not recommended. I tested it two times, and I would say it's special tastes for both experiences. The first was very strong ebony wood. I did just a single spray on the wrist, and biking home it was projecting like MADNESS. The second time, I sprayed my sample on my shirt, and got a lot more coffee and blood orange. And although different, I can't say it was more appealing than the heavy coffee grounds and ebony wood from the first sampling.

Today I'm mixing Dua Caribbean Mojito and Matrix, and have been in heaven all day.
