again, it's not a percentile. It's a grade. You can have a class full of students that fail a college class. That doesn't automatically make 10% of them A students, does it?

There is definitely uneven distribution between grades.

That's because you're using a faulty scale. You're using your rating scale based on a decile of the population when it's more common and useful to treat it as a normal distribution curve where each point is like less than a standard deviation.

Someone said I'm a 4/10 on misc the other day. I laughed and showed the bf "look a miscer said I'm a 4/10", he hit me with "you're at least a 4.23/10".

No more bf.

Jokes. It was funny. If I have to rate him /10. Where 5/10 is 50th percentile (better than 50% of men) and 8/10 is better than 80% of men. Then 8.5/10 is realistic. He has a nice ass body. Above average face. He's 35 so the banging body gets him a lot of points.

But since misc 8/10 is more top 0.2%, he's a 7/10.

LMAO that a 2006 doesn't even know how the scale works. By that system, anyone who has ever put down a donut once in their life is at least a 9/10. Have you SEEN average people?? A 10/10 rated girl is like 1 out of 10,000 females, not 1 out of 10.

Only true if we were all talking about the same random selection of 30 girls. We aren't. We've all seen tens of thousands of different girls. We can take a perfectly good guess at who is in the top 10% and be broadly in agreement, personal preferences notwithstanding.

That gives a majority a 4,5,6, like you'd expect the average to be. That'd give a 9 like a 99.99%, but if you do less or even half a standard deviation for each point on the scale, you bring down the rarity of everything to be a bit more reasonable but still rare enough to show it's not easy.

I tend to end up with girls that are like 7.5/10 relative to where I live, maybe more like a 7 in a major city. And that's with makeup and all dressed up.

I get oneitis bad for 7/10 girls though, so oneitis clouds my judgement and makes them as appealing as 9/10s. My broscience is that since I'm a 7/10 myself, I'm drawn to those I'm more or less aesthetically equal to.

We don't care about distribution or who is in top 10%. There is a test, with each "question" increasing in difficulty at almost exponential rate.

10/10 = perfect score, perfect aesthetics.
0/10 = lowest possible score, zero aesthetics.

Most people will score somewhere between 4, 5 and 6. That's why 7s are nice, 8's are impressive, 9's are mind-blowing and 10's are truly unique and 1 in a billion.

Sample size does not determine what the results of an individual test taker will be.

But mostly because do you really expect the average miscer to have a distribution curve IN HIS HEAD to give you any kind of meaningful rating for any girl he sees?

Of course not. My way is perfect, easy, universally understood. And it's my thread so that's how we are doing it.

In all honesty, I'd say mine is a 10 but that just comes across sounding stupid, so I'll just go with 9-9.5/10. It's not just me, she's really, really ridiculously good looking. I honestly don't think there's been a better looking female on the planet, at least that I've seen. There's been a few I've seen of similar level/about the same but that's about it.

I know I hit the jackpot, I'm about 6-7/10 looks-wise IMO

The rating system is a bit of a semantic discussion, but, on topic:

I'd say my wife is between a 7 and an 8, depending. She's the type that doesn't need any makeup, but she uses a little (I think it's eye liner?). She could be a strong 8.5 if she was interested in working out at all, she looks very fit and is the kind of genetic makeup where she has a good amount of lean muscle on her regardless of what she does. By between 7-8 range I mean we go to a party and heads turn to look at her, and she is rather stunning at times (I'm very, very lucky).

I'm around a 3.5 - she thinks I'm crazy when I say this but, I'm a late bloomer in the physical sense. I find myself completely unattractive (aesthetically) but in an acceptable way that doesn't undermine my self esteem - I'm determined to improve myself, day by day. I think I could hit a strong 6.5 someday. She thinks I'm crazy because I'm a decent height (6 feet), a decent build (around 170lbs), but I always see myself as a skinny fat guy who needs to work to make himself better. It is what it is.
