Why would someone from Ohio drive all the way to VA in an expensive car just to run over a bunch of twats?
Most likely this out-of-towner turned down the wrong street and encountered a "peaceful protest". There's plenty of videos of what happens to hapless drivers who happen upon a BLM/anti*** rally.
He was most likely pelted with rocks while he tried to get out of the area, long before he turned down the street where this group was.
There were brake lights at at least one point where he tried not to run someone over. Finally the dude lost it panicked and helicopter rides ensued.

This is a lot more likely than "nazi run over peaceful protesters hurr derp duuhhh"

Those are his daytime running lights. Brake lights would be the whole back panel and the one in the stop of the rear window.

He was only stopped because of the two cars stopped in the street that he couldn't see.
