Tormoz, pull the stock off and see if the end is slanted or square. It's easy to take off. Pry that plunger up with a bullet point or screwdriver and yank the stock off. If the tube's slanted order commercial spec. If square order mil-spec. I don't know of a buttpad that will fit on that factory el-cheapo stock.

It's like some of you think mil spec is so amazing that anything else can't be OK.
Aside from the tube OD difference, the only difference is one has cut threads and one has rolled threads - both perfectly fine for the application. As for strength it's not even worth talking about unless your rifle also doubles as a pry bar. In which case both would fail anyway.

1. Trying out different stock options.
2. If his AR10 stock somehow breaks, he can throw his stock from his AR15 on it.
3. If his AR15 extension broke, he could replace the tube assembly with the one from his AR10.

There's no reason for the commercial tubes to exist, let alone to invest in them.

People who shoot Tulammo .223 might end up testing that tube's (and stock's) strength when they mortar their rifle to TRY to get the stuck case out lol

All things equal, I like a flat trigger better. Feels like it's more solid and I can manipulate the trigger easier and more controlled

Linear stress isn't going to be much of a test for the beaten to death argument of mil spec vs com spec buffer tube strength. That would all come down to thread strength and both rolled and cut are plenty strong enough for that.

Next paycheck I'm replacing the trigger in my glock 20 with some sort of flat trigger. I understand the long draw because the lack of external safety but its worse than my brothers airsoft guns!

I'm 99.9% set on the 40, but wondering if something could steer me away. I spend a lot of time in the hills which do have bears and I have been face to face with cougars before. Probably what I'll get.

Then a 34 MOS always sounds tempting. Have a 19 and 43 currently
