Pushing Trump out there was a huge gamble. Would another candidate have beaten Hillary? Dunno. Maybe.

But the danger in Trump winning was that he would fail to live up his hype about "winning" and getting things done, would stick his foot in his mouth too often, would have administration issues, etc. He got a win with the SCOTUS and some other things, but the negatives are starting to pile up and it could be a rough midterm and next election for us. If the swing voters and libertarians who backed Trump get buyer's remorse and go another way it could be rough sailing for the R's for awhile.

Trump can get things back on track if he can focus and actually try to get his agenda back on track . . . but he's falling into the perpetual campaign mode that Barry was in.

What trigger are you putting in it? Desired shooting range? For the price of a Vortex Viper PST G2 and the same weight, you can get this via their discount program:http://www.burrisoptics.com/scopes/x...cope-2-10x42mm

If you're getting a Strike Eagle 1-6/1-8, or a PA ACSS 1-6/1-8, you'll end up with a BDC reticle, while the Viper PST will have mils or moa. Depends on what you want to do with it.

I decided on a mil-based reticle for mine, and I'm pretty sure that I'm going with a 5-25. Might still end up with a 3-15 though.http://www.burrisoptics.com/sites/de...order-form.pdf

The stuff the left keeps pulling makes me less and less moderate by the day. I really try to make decisions for myself and address each issue with my own opinion (instead of just blindly supporting a party and a platform), but the left is making it more and more difficult to get behind anything they stand for.

If you're going for "fast", get a 1-6 with the reticle you like. If you want to shoot groups, I'd go with higher mag. Alternatively, buy an Aimpoint Pro or a PA ACSS Holoson and a 2-10 or 3-15, put them both on QD mounts, and match the optic to whatever you're doing with the rifle that day.

Combat armory has new gen 4 17, 23, 19, and one other model for 470 using code.
Gun500 is the code, includes free shipping.

I would strongly suggest just waiting until Saturday to see what comes out, maybe the prices will change then.

Gen 3 and 4 prices will remain exactly where they've been for the last ~8 years now.

Haven't been watching that long, so you'd know better.

There's two possible outcomes, new model OR nothing significant coming out and these 470 dollar gen 4 glocks go back back to 540 for whatever time. Risky lol

I love Glocks as much as anyone in here...but Glock isn't coming out with squat "significant". They've been as successful as they have because they stick to the same old proven 30 year old design.

New grip without finger grooves would probably be the only thing significant they change. I have big hands so the finger grooves fit me and I like them. But it's probably the number one thing I see anyone else complain about. Other than that, none of the changes will be worth even talking about.

The Media is adamantly against the President. They do not give him an opportunity to express his vision, or to advocate for his policies, no matter what they are.

Trump's rallies:

1. Force the media, in all of its avenues, on the defensive. They exclude the print media, because by the time the papers get around to covering them the following day, the rally has already been digested by viewers. This gives him an advantage over the NYT, WaPo, CNN, and MSNBC. They can't "gotcha" the President.
2. Allow citizens to actually listen to the President, instead of requiring that they listen to the President through the filter of the media.
3. Give citizens visual evidence that they are not alone. Allowing citizens to look at their President and other citizens coming together for their shared values which are seemingly no where to be found in the media is a tremendous morale boost. There is nothing better for getting the base out to vote than convincing people to believe in themselves and their values.

Honestly as u said I only voted Trump because he is not Hillary. Which is the sad state most elections have been in since I can remember. What happened to days of choosing between two candidates for their redeeming qualities? Now people choose by the one with the least negative qualities. Sad AF

I honestly don't know. We have three branches of gov't to move legislation, and it's broke even with the GOP controlling all three. So I have no clue as to what Trump is trying to accomplish. These are his media events, and he can do this without the spectacle of a 3-ring circus. He lives for the limelight and his ego. That's who we elected, so here we are. I'm more irked that tax payers, especially local, foot the bill for these showmanship events. I work for the state gooberment, so yearly cost of living salary increases are tied to state budgets.

If his rally was in Tucson, I'd seriously be tempted to kit out and go just for the lulz. Wife would throw a fit, but fug it.

Unfortunately I think most people "care" about the wrong things.
People are picking up crosses for whatever the media tells them is important to care about.

The perceived caring is really just a certain level of brainwashing.

I hope you're right.

I fear indoctrinated is worse than uneducated.
People passively just going along with the flow is one thing. People passionately wanting blood to flow in the streets based on propaganda they are being fed is a little scary.

Let's walk the bold back. The GOP "controls" the Senate in the sense that they have a simple majority, and can set the agenda, but they do not have the ability to push legislation through the Senate over the wishes of the Dems. That would require a 60-seat majority, which they do not currently have.

I'm sick to the stomach.

A friend of mine (and shooting buddy) had an ND this morning and shot himself in the hand. I haven't gotten all the details yet but it sounds like he dropped his Glock and tried to catch it.

I'm sick for him.

Pushing his agenda is part of taking care of the country, which he has to do himself, in person, at rallies, because the media will not provide honest coverage.
