Stay safe brahs and remember don't freak out.

Katrina survivor here.

Also remember the east side of the storm gets the worst of the damage. More rain and wind.

Every time they act like this chit is end of the world and every time it's disappointing. My house is made out of bricks and im on high ground, either way should be fun. I kind of hope we do get 30+ inches of downfall, break up the day to day fuking boring.

Going to go get my boat out of storage after I close down today just in case it does flood gnarly, i can putt around and drink beer.
Yeah everytime a storm comes the weather people love to act like its the end of the world and BOOM nothing happens. The only thing it sounds like you need to worry about is the tornados that come along with the hurricane. they don't care if you have a brick house.

Yeah I got 3 cases this morning and 2 more at home depot, but literally the last 2 at home depot and apparently they had just been delivered

This is true. Imma huddle in my center room by the fireplace and get wasted as fuk as my dogs go to town on dog bones.

When we suppose to get the worst of it?

It's pretty stimulating the first hour or so. Then after several hours of 70mph winds howling outside while you sit in your dark powerless house hoping the roof doesn't come off it starts to suck balls. After it passes it gets really hot and buggy and even alcohol can't make it enjoyable.

I sort of wish I was down there right now. My friends are making a party out of it which I guess is better than just sitting there all day.

Hurricane Harvey Category 1 so far, but predicted to strengthen to 3. Still a day out from landfall, targeting between Corpus Christi to Huston.

Go climb in a room, start boiling some water to 100% humidity, then turn the heater on to around 95-98 degrees.

Hope you guys fare well and it gets weaker by the time it makes landfall. Our neighborhood got torn up pretty bad from Hurricane Matthew, but we were lucky it wasn't nearly as bad as they were predicting. I did at least learn the amazing value of a generator. Will never have to live in pitch black again.

What did you hear about the evac route? Curious because we have family nearby that didn't leave yet.

And foolish foolish family too that say the aren't going to leave. Their house is between the local highway and the ocean at about 11 feet above sea level. It is old, not in good condition, and doesn't have a second story to flee too.

Oh, and neither of these two loons can swim either.

We were just saying maybe if we tell them to write their names and contact info for their next of kin in sharpie on their arms they might get that this is serious.

Yeah, a lot of times there is a last minute turn, or it isn't as bad as forecast, but these two are not fit to risk even a power outage.
