Ask a Firearms Dealer Anything (SRS)
Always see a lot of people on the misc that have incorrect assumptions about firearms, gun laws, and how dealers operate so figured this would be a good thread to start. There are also a lot of gun brahs on the misc that have questions.
I have an 07 Manufacturer of Firearms License as well as a NFA (National Firearms Act) Class II SOT (Special Occupancy Taxpayer).
I am licensed to deal and manufacture firearms as well as possess, deal and manufacture NFA items such as Machine Guns, Suppressors, Short Barreled Rifles etc.
Worked in the gun industry for 6-7 years, moved on to other things, then decided with as many guns as I buy I might as well get an FFL.
Mine is a home based FFL so my store is my garage.
What are your questions?

Can you send me a gun? I live in England. Just wrap it in packaging that makes it look like a dildo. It'll blend in with the rest of my mail.

I have a low fee because I don't have overhead and I don't carry much stock. You would be surprised at how much staff time and $$$ goes into receiving, selling and disposing of a transferred firearm. All you see is the 4473 completion and getting rung up at the register.

If someone finds an automatic Thompson in their granddads attic and it has no papers or anything.
Is there any way to check if it was registered?
If not the only option is museum or scrap receiver and sell for parts?
