I thought the ref stopped it pretty quickly, and rightfully so. It was obvious that Connor was out of the match, no reason to take extra punishment and fuk up your brain. If Floyd was more gassed I'm sure he'd have let them go at it for a bit longer but Connor was being outclassed in the final round.

If you people think when money is involved that its all "natural" you're a fool buying into bridges that lead to no where.

I don't know if the fight itself was staged - it pretty much played out logically (McGregor comes out fast looking for a kill shot, Mayweather knows this and rope a dopes him, Mayweather beats the piss out of him when he tires). But boxing's not the most honest sport in the world. Wouldn't surprise me it if was staged.

I'm betting most of Mayweather's opponents so far were better boxers than McGregor. They earned their spot to face him in boxing, not lose and then majority win in MMA against a skinny fat pothead like Nate Diaz. If you think Mayweather couldn't have ended it earlier, you're delusional. He himself said he is happy he made an entertaining match.
Floyd never said the truth about McGregor being a newbie, as that would seriously devalue the viewers interest because it's the truth.

Boxing has rules that favor long endurance, MMA is smash and pound as fast as you can. In REAL fights they are usually over in less than 2 minutes. Whcih has more real world carryover?
Not dismissing boxing, I dapple in it myself for cardio, but boxing is an old time sport with old time rules. It has little functionality besides in its own game. Rarely does a fight NOT go to the ground. Boxing has so many technical rules that stop it from being a true fight and thats why its on the decline

Brb ref constantly breaking up the fighters when they clinch, brb one idiot turns his back on purpose. If you turn your back in a real fight you're dead, it's so stupid.

What if we give Mayweather and Conor exactly 6 months to learn fencing since neither of them play and see who wins
Then whoever the winner is we know which fighting sport is better, MMA or Boxing.

Its funny people are arguing about this. Conner is getting a 9 figure paycheck for that 30 mins of work while every one of the fans chit talking him are going to their miserable ass 9-5 for $100 bucks a day.

Bar fights are over very very quickly and consist of strikes. Seconds later someone is either knocked out or its broken up. They aren't going to the ground ending in a arm bar or triangle choke lmao. 99.99% of the time you run into someone they, like you, will not have any organized mma or boxing training. They are just regular Joe shmoes. Since I have ~20 years of boxing training, I KNOW I have a massive advantage over just about anyone I come in contact with statistically. If the off chance I run into a mma fighter, I'm hitting him before he gets the chance to take me down. Push me? I'm striking. Walk towards me with fist balled? I'm striking. This isn't "ok meet me out back" take your shirts off and fight lol. It's strike strike get the hell out of there.

I can tell you all this though. I have never responded to a bar fight in which an MMA move was successfully used lol. Every single one was a "striking match" and was over within 10 seconds. Keep fantasizing about what you guys *think* happens in street fights

Still lol at anyone who ever thought Connor was this magical opponent, and his potential critical hit of a left that could magically KO Floyd. He had been by stronger, faster and more skillful boxers before.
