It sucks but this is like 3-4 movies in one season. If it's not bullchit and next season's episodes will be about 1.5 hours per episode that's like 4-6 movies.

Yes it's super popular but it's not like Breaking Bad or something stupid like the Big Bang Theory where more people have access to the channel and the cost of what they're filming is substantially lower.

Dragons, zombies, war/battle scenes = big money.
You're also filming in numerous countries.

I tried reading into how exactly the Faceless operate. They see death as the ultimate "god" that is simply represented by the many religions in the world (the Many-Faced-God) and also as a gift to end suffering. They also do not select their targets but may kill if the price is great enough.

With that logic, I would assume they see the Night King as an agent of death and a force of nature that shouldn't be impeded. To do so would be to rob the Many-Faced-God of the lives it intends to claim. Also, hiring them to murder wights or the Night King would see unfeasible anyways. Plus they could rationalize that humanity has brought endless suffering to the world, which the Night King is set to end. That was the beginning of the theory that the NK is actually technically a hero, because his world would be devoid of war.

They're actually a cool order when you read into Jaqen's dialogue. If you remember the Harrenhall part of the show - he keeps track of which god was robbed of death. When Arya saved him and the two prisoners fromfire, she robbed the "Red God" of 3 lives, which is why he repaid it by killing 3 men of Arya's choosing in the name of the Red God.

The Faceless Men are a bunch of hypocrite assassins imo who just spout their god of death nonsense as an advertising tool probably

If they only serve the god of death then why are they famous for being too expensive? evidently they serve the god of money as well

They probably will only target the Night King if someone pays them an outrageous amount for it.

Even in the book, they are a confusing lot. I mean the numerous methods they use to change their faces alone barely makes sense. I'd reckon the faceless men, Bran 3000 and Quaithe/lord of light storylines are giving Martin the most difficulty tying up. Thus the wait. I think he added too many mysterious groups.

The point is still valid though. What was the most expensive thing they did on BB? They had one main actor who was getting more than anyone else, maybe 2...

Filming in Arizona or wherever they did, not having to do any CGI or anything with a chit ton of extras means production cost is minuscule compared to GOT.

HBO isn't getting any add revenue I don't think so they're going all off subscriptions and a lot of people get around it using other people's accounts to watch.

It sucks that's the way it has to be but it's understandable.

Not to mention their retarded training. Spend a season or two selling oysters, clams, cuckolds, and you become a magical face changing killing machine. That chit was worse than wax on wax off.

Ya Quaithe disappeared from the show. I'm not sure if they'll involve Essos at all in this war, aside from the Golden Company and maybe Melisandre and whatever she's planning.

big bang theory is on national TV and has a broader audience (less violence and sex).

I agree on that. Also reminds me of the continuous callbacks to certain lines from previous seasons during this season. If this Stark army formation is legit, which I doubt, then it would be the worst secret reveal in the history of television.

Edit: Might just simply mean that the Night King is a Stark but not necessarily Bran. I don't even know anymore.

ITT: I can accept people teleporting 2,000 miles in less than a day but how can someone who has been preparing for 8,000 years get their hands on chains?
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
