Why has it taken the white walkers 7 seasons to get to the wall? Yet it takes Jon Snow et al half an episode to find them...

Also why did the night king kill the dragon that was flying without any humans on it's back and not the one with 7 humans sat right infront of him?

He might have been planning for a second dragon kill. If he hit Drogon, the other two could just fly away. Hit Viserion and then take a shot at Drogon. Also, plot armor.

The NK was waiting for the opportunity to steal a dragon from Daenerys so that he can destroy a portion of the wall

Basically the NK is smart as fuk and had been playing 5D multiverse chess with them for 7 seasons

That still doesn't explain why he chose that specific dragon? I mean he had two options:

1. Aim the spear at the flying dragon which has a chance of missing (we know this because he missed the shot when Dany and Co. took off)
2. Kill the dragon lying on the ground and at the same time kill everyone there/ turn them into whights.

I get that it's plot armour but cmon brah? it's like they never even tried this season. There are countless other things that were so illogical

Yeah I know that, but he could have taken two dragons + all the humans there, instead he conveniently aims at the dragon not carrying the 2 main characters in the show. Like it was just so dumb and illogical.

That's what is wrong with this season. S1 & 2 no fooks given, every main character just dies and this leaves you on the edge the whole time.

Now - the main characters are in countless impossible situations and somehow always manage to stay alive. It's not even captivating anymore, you just know they will survive.

I will never understand why they did that. Could have just made the NK jump into the water, sink to the bottom, and touch Viserion's body there (thereby raising him). Absolutely no need for chains.

Then I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt by thinking that maybe they had the chains to pull down the huge gates that are at the wall.... but they just went and blew the wall up with dragon fire so....

They were most likely waiting for the dragons, only way to break the wall and get through.

They've taken detours (i.e. when they kill the three eyed raved) and have been building their army with wildling villages

As much as I'd like to rationalize it, I think it's just plot armor.

That, or the Night King was doing a show of arrogance, killing a dragon in front of Daenerys before killing Drogon and her.

White walkers generate so much cold that they can put down fire.

In other words if nk jumped in water it would result in him turning into a popsicle

Yes but how did the Night King get the chains secured on a dead dragon at the bottom of an icy lake? I thought the dead can't swim? I'm assuming he used telekinesis then? Why couldn't he slowly raise his arms up like at Hardhome and have the dragon rise on its own? I just think the chain scene was totally unnecessary, it would have been WAY more convincing if they had giants winching him up

The entire wight plan. 'Nuff said.

Supporting Dany's most powerful ally (Jon) putting himself in extreme danger. Then telling Dany not to rescue her only ally. Losing Viserion sucked, but otherwise Dany would have lost Jon (and the support of the North). The whole situation could have been avoided without the dumb plan.

Bringing the entire crew Cersei's home turf, were she could have easily had scorpions ready to kill the dragons, wildfire hidden under the dragon pit, or a million other murderous plans.

Believing Cersei when she agrees to cooperate. It's Cersei, yo.

Its another problem with the writing. When watching the show you dont think much about it but a day later you ask yourself why he said that or why would they do that.

Just one of the many things that didnt make sense this season. They seriously need help with writing for season 8

Does it matters that much to you?? Perhaps resurrecting a dragon requires a different method then with dead humans. For all we know he had giants pulling it at the end of chains.

Yeah I read the actors haven't even gotten scripts yet.

btw gotta admit watching all the BTS stuff makes me jelly. brb being in your 20s or 30s and flying across the world to film in the biggest show on TV.
