Congrats on marathons, well beyond most of us.

I was a single father of 2 @ 28, retired @ 40.

Raising 2 kids by myself that both turned out awesome.

Managed to snag myself an awesome woman @ 37, had a 3rd kid.

Any of those 3 could be my greatest.

You're actually right.

Breaking away from the poverty and degenerates that occupied my childhood.

Purchasing my first home at 27 (3x the size of the box I grew up in) knowing that neither of my parents ever owned their own home or had any assets.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Digging myself out of depression probably, I was pretty bad at one point. And maybe even escaping the harsh struggles of poverty. Those were the two things that really held me back in life significantly, I can say I'm proud I didn't give up or settle for less than my worth.

Being able to take care of mum before she died. The physical and emotional might that it took me to endure her passing - and coming out the other side in one piece, is the only accomplishment worthy of mention for me.
Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lie.
