If a pharmacist prescribes the wrong dose of a medication, and a Nurse administers it, without knowing its correct... do you think they get held responsible? Of course they do.

BS excuse to say people shouldn't be accountable, if you aren't aware of laws, you shouldn't be a police officer, or you should aware yourself if challenged.

Yeah, ignorance of the law isnt a excuse. Just like if a thug has a bag of coke claims he didnt know it was illegal, same thing how a cop cant claim he thought something was ok.

Not quite. His superior cannot order him to perform an illegal act. He should know better and indeed should also be held responsible.

Great. I sincerely hope this serves as a lesson to any future overzealous cops; and as a reminder that police officers are given authority through their constituents to serve the community as peace keepers, and not bullies to use that authority to threaten and intimidate innocent tax payers into complying to their unlawful demands.
