My prediction is that it will graze Florida with some moderate force, then start to make landfall up the East Coast, bringing moderate stuff to the South and Mid Atlantic. Then, it will destroy New England like Irene did.

Irene went by here as a tropical storm. We havent had a good hurricane up this way since Bob in 1991.

interesting tho that Irma replaced Irene on the name list.

I don't think we have had a double hurricane hit in over 100 years. Breaking records if it does

Tried to order water to pick up from Sams and Walmart and both stores are out of stock on most waters with the exeption of Smart water and sparkling water. Wanted to avoid going to the store to get supplies myself. Dammit.

Can't get anymore of a direct hit than the new GFS. Miami isn't prepared for a hurricane, Sobe floods with heavy rain, this hurricane will wipe out south beach and brickell. Most seawalls haven't been upgraded to the new safety height.

Got bunch of stuff leftover from Matthew, but still need non perishables because been using them all to avoid going to the store... now is inevitable and have to make a trip. All I know is that if it hits the Carolinas head on Hilton Head Island will cease to exist.

it's done all overmany online retailers/breeders.

Reptiles and with fish too, can all be boxed and shipped over night. With snakes they usually put in sack bags then in a styrofoam box with newspapers and overnighted. Someone must be home to sign for it when reptile or fish.

I'm more inland but am sure to lose power if Irma comes anywhere near central FL.

You'd think with the current technology and the fact damn near every person in the USA has a smart phone that they would be in the know well in advance of a major hurricane heading right towards them. If i was in Florida, My ass would be boarding my house up, packing my treasured items and heading the hell out right now before **** hits panic mode.

no tinfoil hat..but why cant humans create something to disrupt it.

honestly ive never studied hurricanes but i guess a hurricanes fuel is the warm water vapoe released by water?

i know it seems a massive task but just wondering why it couldnt be stopped

or maybe its more of a question why you dont want to - considering the deleterious after effects it may have on weather patterns after..

not making light of the magnitude of a hurricane, just saying
