Irma can just fk straight off!!! I was very fortunate and was able to make it out with only a little leak around a flashing that discolored a single piece of sheet rock in my sons room (which also isn't born yet and is due in less than a week, I seriously figured he would of made his grand entrance during all of this crap just to troll me) , my grandfather however didn't get so lucky. His home of 45 years which had never flooded prior to this was under 5' of water and lost absolutely everything... And to make it worse he didn't have flood insurance because he had never had a reason too... I mean hindsight is 20/20 and for less than $500 he would have been covered blah blah blah... yeah I know but he wasn't. I have spent the last week and a half ripping out carpet , sheetrock etc etc... of his house and a good friend of mines house... fkn sucks a huge sack of dicks around here right now...But we all gonna make it ...

Sorry to hear that brah. I hope there is a relief fund made available to help your granddad and others like him get back on their feet. Keep the faith.

I ended up getting 3 feet in the house. Luckily i left whem it was about 4 inches in the garage and was able to still drive out and save my truck. All of my neighbors thought the water was going to go down and stayed. They all had to be taken out by boat. I went back in a boat a few times to get what i could. I got lucky again and found another house to rent and have been staying there. I lost a lot but so many people lost way more or lost their life. I have some good pics but uploading them and linking them is such a pain and have so many other things to do. I have some cool pics of my motorcycle in a boat. (i hung it from the ceiling of the garage with my engine hoist)

My house was fine but my parent's house on Lake Houston got about 4ft of water in it. We got a good bit of their stuff out but the house is wrecked. So is my body from pulling out all the drywall, cabinets, flooring, etc for 4 days straight hahaha. They are way more fortunate than most people though. Some are still under water and they won't let them back in yet. And most don't have flood insurance.

LOL Reeves county is 500 miles from the coast.

Watching videos like this reminds me thata true apocalyptic scenario doesn't have to be the end of the world for **** to hit the fan for most people and for things to get stripped bare.
