A lot of men have kids especially in their profile picture, sorry not into that. I swiped left on a guy I work with that is definitely married and has 2 daughters. He also lied about his age, strong WTF. I by passed a few good looking dudes because they are way too good looking for me. 1 match wanted my number after the 1st message, way too aggressive for me.

There is 1 guy I may have a chance with. Nerdy half-Asian computer programmer that seems interested. I can tell he is pretty shy, because it took him 2 days to give me his number. I'm giving him a chance, because he's at my pace level.

The other guy that matched with was really intrigued that I mentioned a book I liked and music that I listen too. He said he doesn't meet a lot of Libertarian rock music loving people. He wanted to meet right then, but I told him that's too fast for me. We may meet this weekend? I hope he doesn't lose interest cause he seems pretty cool.

I will gave the apps 2 more weeks and if I don't have any success, I will delete them.
You need to give it more than two weeks. There are so many options in online dating, the odds of you finding a good match right away are pretty slim. Especially if you are not willing to settle.

Let us know how it goes. Remember, assume she wants to stick by your side. If you start getting it in your mind that you are not worthy, you will subconsciously start pushing her away.

Update:

I had to cancel two dates last week because I had to take my son to the hospital for an infection that required strong antibiotics.Vent:We were there for three days. His mom never visited or helped me. Said she was out of town, but I am pretty sure she was only an hour away and could have easily visited, even if only for a short time. She is such a ****.

Anyhow, I rescheduled one for lunch on Friday, and I'm still working on the other one. I was supposed to meet her last Thursday night, and she won't give me her number until we meet, but she is still initiating on tinder. I completely get this one because she is hot as **** and she probably gets a ton of creeps and stalkers. She's 38 and looks like she is 25. I even asked her if she was using old pictures or filters and she said no. Confirmed on her Instagram. I really want to meet her for obvious reasons, but she also rides a sport bike, which is cool.

I also have a lunch date set up for Thursday with another woman I've also been talking to and 3 other women on the line as well, but no dates set up with them yet.

Oooooooo....a few ideas that come to mind to pull back on her (jokingly of course):

-I would like to meet in a public, lit setting with alot of people around, I won't do it any other way, etc
- on first date, in girly voice: "NOOOO, I'M NOT GIVING YOU MY NUMBER TILL I'M READY, OKAAAAAY?"

Yeah, but that still takes time to figure out. Say you only want to check out one guy at a time. That's probably 3 weeks right there, unless you know you don't click before ever meeting.

This is why I talk to 3-5 women at the same time. I might find 1-5 interesting enough, and enough chemistry, to even go on a second date with.

Yeah. We don't chat much, so I don't know all that much about her. She sends me texts pretty much just checking in, but doesn't reply very quickly. So I've been asking questions and teasing her all in the same text. I honestly don't want to spend too much time on our first meeting because I don't want to to become a boring get-to-know you interview. She seems like a total tomboy though. A very, very, hot tomboy.

I'm definitely going to tease her when it comes to getting her number.

Definitely only swipe right on guys that you are attracted to and seem interesting to you. You will match with a lot of guys and if you are not picky, you will be bombarded with messages.

Well a few days in the app game. Good god men are extremely hard to read. I feel like I am pulling teeth with these dudes. With an exception to the guy that was looking for fun (I'm looking for something serious), I am having to start to the convo 1st. I'm not being aggressive, but guys complain about girls not texting 1st. The only guy I see some potential in is the geeky Asian engineer guy. He's been texting me every morning which is nice. All the other dudes (average and below average) are slow at the text game.

How many matches do you have?

Some people prefer to fully engage right of the bat over tinder and move to text, so prefer to take a more reserved approach. Just depends on the person's preference in addition to how many people they are currently talking to + life. It is natural for people to give most attention to the ones they are most interested at that moment in time.

I could give you some tips on how to keep guys engaged, but I don't know how your convos are currently going or what is being said.

Well I prefer to engage on the app, and if it goes smooth I'm game for text. 2 guys immediately wanted my number, I said nahh (it was clear that they wanted poon quick).
I throw in some jokes and sarcastic humor to keep a guy engaged. It's working with the engineer and the CPA. However the CPA guy works long hours like me, so he doesn't respond as quickly.

BTW, hot/cold guy invited me to his birthday dinner. I told him maybe because I have a heavy work load tonight, which is true. I have a funny feeling he's about to be hot with me soon...

Make sure you don't go to this even if you can make it and no response till next morning either WHEN he messages you asking if you coming(this will REALLY get him thinking about you). Any future plans he suggests, "I have plans with a friend that day, when else are you free?" Give him the hint that you could be seeing others so that he gets himself into gear, nomsayin. That's if you choose to continue pursuing him, which I don't recommend you do as he has been messing you around, yet you are genuine.

TBH, I'm attracted to him and I know he is too. I have caught him many times checking my ass out. Our friends keep pushing it a little. I told him I was super busy and I think he got the hint. IDK man, we have a lot in common and we talked everyday since last year. And yes if he was REALLY interested he would've already done something by now. It's stupid complicated.

Y is a masters student in my home city and was not really giving me any indication it was going to go any further from the replies I was getting. I did not get time to message R before I saw her Snapchat story the next morning which showed her travelling to another city a few hours away. So that option is probably gone now, although maybe for the best as she seemed to give off an attention seeker's vibe from when we met.

I have been walking to J more often recently, with her often initiating the conversation more often than not. Got talking about when she was going to visit me and she asked "Am I only coming for the day?". I replied asking if she wanted to start for longer and her reply was along the lines of "I would do, but my bf would get mad at me". (Yeah, too right!). Answered with "Wouldn't he be mad for you visiting for the day then?" and she replied about "He doesn't control my life".

So there's some red flags here. Rest of the convo was her saying about how badly her bf treats her and how he's really controlling. (Apparently he deleted one of her college friends from her ******** because they talked too much lol). I said that I didn't want to be a home wrecker but she needed to resolve her relationship problems. Anyways, she is going on holiday to America this week so any visit wont be happening until end of September. Hope I've played this situation he best I can.

Also had some good small talk with my neighbours in the accommodation complex yesterday as I moved in. I'll probably go introduce myself to them properly today, although I probably should have done so yesterday. (It's been a busy few days so I'm running on fumes right now).
Quick Update:

So J went very cold on me for some reason, maybe shes sorted things out with her bf or whatever. She basically came out and said she only viewed me as a friend and nothing more, which has kinda confused me because throughout the week she has been flirting and hinting at things to do when she comes to visit. Then she starts apologising for leading me on, even though she didn't mean it like that. (Wtf?). No idea what happened but whatever, this is dead.

Still yet to properly talk to my neighbours, (this complex seems to be quite antisocial), but I'll try catch some of them tomorrow when they leave. Freshers officially starts tomorrow so even though I'm kinda ill I'll force myself out to that and try meet some people. I have also been reconsidering using Tinder or a similar app despite being very opposed to it. I doubt I'm anything much higher than average though.

It's on you if you want to pursue him brahette, I am actually trying to help to get him chasing you. If he is interested, he should react to the games I am suggesting. Also know that if it was meant to be, it would have happened already. It shouldn't take this much consideration on his part because you should just know when something feels right. He is hesitant over something and life is too short for you to sit around and wait.

Update:

Lunch went well today, but we ended up talking about our exes, which is kind of a turn off for me. Women are always really interested in my story because she's not involved, but I'm tired of talking about it. I want to date a woman that doesn't care that my ex-wife is not involved. lol.

Also, today I took my son back to the endodontist and the office manager was there. I remember kind of noticing her last week, but I was obviously pre-occupied and was looking like scrub. Well today I was all cleaned up from my date and I noticed her continuing to glance over at me and smiling as I was interacting with my kids. Anyhow, she is hot as **** and I found her ******** and I am certain she is single. I'm going to ask for her number next week after my son's final appointment.

This makes a special lesson: If you go out in public, always look your best.

I'm starting to lose interest in the biker babe I was supposed to meet last week. I've been gaming her really hard and not getting much out of her. She's definitely still engaged, though. I suggested she come say hi to me tonight while I'm out playing pool, so we'll see if she shows.

I'm looking forward to my lunch date tomorrow. Texted with her for about 30 minutes last night finalizing our date and she seems really cool. We are going to play bocce ball and drink some wine and if we gel, go grab some lunch.

Hot/cold is a red flag, yo.

It's never as complicated as you think it is. This is a huge flaw of human nature.

Don't wast your time being an emotional tampon for a woman in a relationship. To take it a step further, you shouldn't be wasting your time on any woman in which you are not her number one.

not only women can keep a backup plan
What's the indicators that the relationship is about to go south?

Update:

Last night the biker babe did not show up. She said her bike broke down and she had to push it 2 miles to her house and then she decided to just go to the gym. I asked her what gym and she actually told me, which I found interesting, since she won't even give me her phone number until we meet. This is a huge indicator of trust because most women will not tell guys what gym they go to in fear of being stalked, so I finally just said, "Meet me at <coffee shop> at 10AM Sat morning." and she said she would be there.

My Weekend plans involve a long run and 2 possible dates. The first is a guy that's into gardening (not into sports) and the other is a software engineer. I told both of them that I wasn't looking for a casual hook up and looking for a serious relationship. Not Sure how I'm going to fit sports watching and dates this weekend. I'll give an update after. Wish me luck!

obviously shes not on the same schedule as she was during summer, but her texts have been much farther apart than before, and her responses are also shorter, as if she has less interest in talking to me.

Yep, that can do it.

Update:

Yesterday's lunch had to reschedule. Pushed it back to the evening and then she said that she still couldnt get away in time. Promissed she would meet me at any time I wanted today, so theoretically we are meeting for drinks and maybe food at 7PM tonight.

Bikerbabe cancelled on coffee this morning about 10 minutes before she was supposed to meet there. I went there early to get my coffee, scope a good place to sit, and brought a book to read. Supposedly her friend showed up earlier than expected to help her trailer her bike and take it to the shop, and then she was going to take her out to lunch. I told her that it was nice of her friend to help, and nice of her to repay the favor. Then I told her maybe our paths will cross another time down the road and unmatched her. I knew that we wern't really a good match based on what I had learned about her, but I had some new "day game" things I wanted to try on her. I let the other stuff go becasue no plans were ever set in stone, but these were legit plans she broke. Oh well. There's always another.

First time I've ever been legit stood up, but I hostely was almost expecting it. Which is why I got there early and brought the book. If you get stood up, no one is the wiser. Pretty neat trick, right? LOL. Can't remember where I read that one.

I would not be nice to anyone that gave me 10 mins notice, unless there was some emergency. That would be an immediate unmatch without telling her she was nice.

Saw that one coming after her last performance. Wouldn't have even responded to her at that point TBH.
The trouble with being punctual is that nobody's there to appreciate it.

Well,I was hoping it would come off as sarcastic for emphasis.

I had anxiety all day about my date tonight. But she didnt cancel. We met up for 2 drinks and played bocce ball. She had to work early in the morining, but she asked me to call her, and I asked if she litterally wanted to call her(because most girls prefer text, and she said, yes, call her. So that is a goode sign. she is 29 and pretty much my type, so we will see.

I went to the bar after and talked to a 26 yo and a 23 yo , but it went no where.

Update:

So I went on 2 dates yesterday (Feels good maneeee).
Date 1: This was with the geeky Asian software guy. We had drinks at this brunch place in the city. I told him straight up that I was nervous and he said the same. I think he was more nervous than me. I definitely saw the arm pit sweat and he stutter a lot! He is a little cute and we have a lot in common. I can tell he was a late bloomer cause he didn't have any "game." After drinks I told him I wanted to meet up again. Apparently he's been on the app for awhile. We shall see... We split the bill.

Date 2: This guy was a little odd. He basically wanted to have a political conversation with me. I guess he's never met a minority that had libertarian views. He does read a lot which is nice. I just didn't see the chemistry there. We split the bill.

When I got home I had a notification and hit like on this guy that's from my area and likes the same sports teams as me. He matched me and we instantly started talking. We talked for a few hours with witty jokes about work life and craft beer. At the end, he asked if I wanted to go out this week. I usually want to wait a few days, but since we have a lot in common I said yes. He has that early 30's dad bod and losing his hair. So I'm giving the average guys a shot misc! His pictures were awful, but so are mine. Hopefully we can hit it off.
I def want to keep this guy interested. Advice?
