The dairy industry is absolutely horrific
-Mother gives birth to her calf in horrific chit conditions
-Doesn't even get to spend 10 minutes with it until they come and take calf away
-Proceeds to lock calf away in 3x3 cage where they either kill it for veal if it's male or make it another dairy cow and make it go through the same experience
Dairy is not required whatsoever for human health and is actually very unhealthy.

Another horrible thing is the cages for female pigs that need to feed the babies. Basically they put the pig sideways in a cage so small it can't do anything but lie down there for its entire life. Lots of them poor pigs become apathic and/or completely crazy of boredom. I feel like eating less pig these days, luckily european countries have a restriction for how long the pig can be there and in Sweden it's completely banned. Hence why I only buy swedish pork these days.

All these "horrors" of the industry are the cost of keeping numerous degrees of separation between the general masses and the root origin of what they consume on a daily basis. 99/100 people aren't willing or prepared to take a blade to a cow's throat to get the steak that they love. It's a "luxury" of modern society, and in many cases a necessity when you have 300 million people that want to eat the food they like, while paying as little as possible for it. Assembly-line supply chain optimization works.. It's just not as "pretty" when the end product is derived from living things.. Until a majority of consumers are willing to spend 3X as much for meat that came from pigs and cows that were raised at animal luxury resorts, things will largely remain the same.

When you look into the overall economic output of meat production, it's ****ing insane.
Look at the subsidies that fruits and veggies get in comparison, it's no secret why America is so obese.

We're called white people. Milk doesn't need to be the massive business that it is, but that's a bold as fuk claim to make.
