Ehhh don't try to make the pettyphile thing a solid argument for yourself. I'm not necessarily disagreeing with your viewpoint yet but that's a slippery slope fallacy and false equivalence. Tolerating those who prey on kids not old enough to understand sexuality and be ready to make those decisions on their own, much less who hold a different physiology (pre-pubescent) is not the same as two men going at. It's about mutual consent between adults, and consent from a minor is not the same.

No I don't, I don't give two chits about sexual deviants, people can fuk anything and anyone they want however they want as long as it's consensual.

The problem is with netflix having to shoe-horn in their tolerance propaganda in each and every show, it's so constrained and gets in the way of good writing. If they wanna have a gay character that's fine but maybe don't make it the sole focus of the character and build the entire story around that. Just have a normal person who happens to be a ******* goddamn it.

Maybe you haven't noticed it yet but it's getting worse and worse and it's ruining previously good shows.

I mean obviously I'm exaggerating, we're not at that point yet although I don't doubt you'll see it become a talking point in the future. I'm not equating homosexuality to kiddy-diddling, I don't oppose any kind of sexual minorities in principle, people can do whatever they like as long as it's not harming people.

I must be missing the part where I have to watch certain media decided by Netflix before I access the media I am interested in, because that's how you are making it sound.

However, I recognize this as only our opinion, and the fact that they do it in a societythat clearly still needs this sort of propaganda to counter old, outdated and bigoted ideology.

I can't believe you miss my point time and time again. I'll spell it out for you real simple:

Okay? There are no alternatives. It's creeping into every netflix original slowly but surely. It's not about them offering one show like the one in the OP, I can clearly tell that it's garbage and avoid it and that's fine.

Yeah I see where you're coming from. I don't mind the idea as long as they do it gracefully and with some tact. I disagree that weneedthis kind of propaganda but I can see how people have a different opinion. I just think it's the wrong way to go, but that's up for discussion of course.

BUT, there is a way to write inclusive shows with a diverse cast, if that's your goal, without making it this fuking awkward and dumb. But yeah, I think we mostly agree. On rc brah

no, I don't agree. no society needs propaganda, period. to match outdated propaganda with 'modern' propaganda is akin to the blind leading the blind. that's not going to get anyone anywhere.

free-thinking would be a good mindset to teach through their reach...butany sortof propaganda should not be considered a 'need'. it is just another ego-based approach that assumes most of society are idiots/sheep who need leading. i would give more credit to the average citizen and if not that, then less credit to those in charge of media that feed their egotistical appetite by deciding who believes what because 'it's needed' to fight an antiquated society.

At risk of going into a slippery slope myself, if no one expresses their discontent, the practice can spread as if the consensus is good.

Maybe not needed. But neither is religion (sociologically).. and that is still passed on voluntarily. and because of that so can this method ofcombatting their ideology.


So if you want to argue proganda is neverneeded.Sure, I don't plan to defend that specific claim - but what I will defend is that there isstill bad and outdated ideology.Therefore, people will take measures to bring society up to speed on our new moral compass.

It's not making me lose my mind and I'm not claiming it's horrible. I'm saying it's annoying and ruining shows I used to like, and that's made me contemplate cancelling my subscription. I never said it's the end of the world, you're the one who's blowing things out of proportion.

You can point out things you don't like without automatically saying it's the end of society as we know it you know. I think Netflix is okay despite this, but it used to be better. Everything isn't black and white brah.

I don't know what it is about liberals that makes them get their panties up in a bunch as soon as someone disagrees with them. You really think differing opinions is this fuking scary then maybe you shouldn't go on the internet y'know

Some fair points, but I still fail to understand how it's ruining your shows, and stand by it doesn't bother most people... either way, cancel your subscription if you want to, you didn't sign a contract.

I disagree that there's no point to discussing with people with differing opinions. I'd argue that it's meaningless to discuss with people who share your opinions, might as well just stfu, save the oxygen and jerk each other off instead.
