This. R+M has a pretty weak pilot, but things get less retarded quickly. Strongly agree with Mrbourbon on episodes 2 and 5. Season 2 also blows season 1 out of the water.

It's not the greatest show in the world like a lot of the fans are saying. Although that doesn't mean it sucks. It has some great episodes. While most of season 3 has been garbage, the latest episode may have been one of the top in the series. Although I think it's just retarded to market a show that relies so much on fart jokes, that dumb ass stuttering and annoying burping as"THE SMARTEST SHOW ON TELEVISION" because it includes pop sci-fi.

If this show was actually as intelligent as people claim it to be, it wouldn't be funny because none of us would understand the jokes.

Been watching this show since the pilot. It's probably a lot more polarizing to hear about it through a rabid, obsessed fan base, sets the expectations higher. But when I just watched it without any idea what the hell it was, it really hit the ground running. Bojack Horseman is a great show too, but that one took a second watch. I couldn't make it past the 1st episode the first time I tried it. But once you get through the first few it gets way darker.

I watched some episodes of the second season from Rick and Morty and just didn't care for it. It wasn't necessarily bad, it was just painfully formulaic Simpsons stuff. 4/10.

I've watched every episode of the third season so far though, and it's actually pretty great. 8/10 type TV, loved the one with the Mad Max ****.

I still don't understand how this show is supposed to be "intelligent" at all though. I've seen at least a dozen episodes now and everything seems to be super surface level.
