Busy on a massive project at the moment brah, trying to wrap it up before COB & launch it.
It's a long weekend for me - public holiday on Monday, no fukkin idea what holiday, don't care, just know I ain't waking up.
Saving for the end of the year to take a vacation so going to rot this weekend. Hopefully get in a sparring session with my gf and rek her. (not srs) but we will be doing padwork
Pretty pumped it's Friday, also - the year is coming to an end and things should cool down a bit soon so I can focus on improving my knowledge a bit more about my career & opportunities.
Have 3k worth of courses I bought online to finish as well.

Kinda bummed out, tbh. I'm meeting with my long-term client tonight, and I have to say: "I can't do what you ask, my partner wants to take the money and run." He does backend chit. He's not my partner anymore, obviously, but these people are good christian people. They deserve better than this.

In all honesty it wasn't that bad. Dinner was okay, but when we got back to my place he really opened up. Took a couple of shots, opened up a bit about his past and sports background. I don't ever see us being bro's or anything but I could see us getting cooler as the years go by. Apparently there is talk of a vacation next year...we'll see though.

Have a good weekend brah, and enjoy your long weekend. Be safe and definitely wreck your girl lmao.

know these feels. I took sick days wednesday and thursday because i was near death from the common cold. Now I came in Friday with all of my work transferred to my counter-part and i'm just chillin in my office twiddling my thumbs. really don't have to be here to be honest but it's better than rotting at home watching sportscenter.

the only plans i have is going to "my regular" sushi spot downtown. my bestfriend's girlfriend is the bar manager so i can go there, order like 4 or 5 orders of rolls and 3 whiskey old fashioneds and i'll only get charged for 4 roll orders, and one of the old fashioneds. that will definitely be happening tonight.

for the weekend i have a scratch/paint transfer on my beamer so gonna spend saturday trying to scrub it out without fuking up my paint job. sunday is the lords day so will be searching for some little "tenderoni" wit a phat booty to have brunch with. should be nice.

Been a good week brahs - Hurricane Irma knocked me WAY out of my routine, been slowing putting it back together. It's a pain in the ass taking down all the hurricane shutters, calling insurance etc.

Slept in most of the week to catch up on z's, today was my first day back at my usual 5am wakeup and got a workout in. Feels good to be back on the grind.

Tonight going for food and Kingsman 2 with a bunch of friends. My days off are Sunday Monday, plan on epic gym sessions then studying coding.

I'm a web developer, and i'm freelancing on the side. I work with the front end of things, like the look and behavior of a website. He is a backend developer, and works with APIs. My client really needs a certain, obscure API implemented. The problem is, I have no idea how to work with said API, hence the partnership. He wanted to put together a half-assed solution that would fall apart as soon as there's any sort of moderate load. It would be done quickly, and he wouldn't want to speak with the client again. I will not take money for half-assing things. Luckily, they haven't spent any money besides the initial website setup (which I handled, and they are extremely happy with it). We were going to discuss a new contract tonight (implementing the API). I cannot implement the API, and will not be finding another person to work with. They need to find another web developer.

We like hangin out together but it's just one of those "age gap too wide" sort of things. shes a sophmore in college and works as a bank teller. needless to say our talking points are vastly different. i basically have to keep discussions very surface level because if i start to bitch about my life, that's basically cracking a rim on my car and having to replace it for $600 and that's equivalent to one of her pay checks. oh well, will keep her around for the random dinner date cause she sure is nice to look at.

So tell them exactly that. That it's outside of your scope of expertise. I would respect a vendor so much more if they tell me upfront what's going on. It's all about maintaining a positive relationship despite potential shortcomings.

Late but in. It's going to be 95 here today and then next week high in the 50s, only happens in this state. But next week will be some good mountain bike riding weather.
