this is from a inky so take this how you will but everyone I've ever met with a bunch of ink get it because they like how they look, not because they have some cringy bull **** meaning. I just like how ink looks on me that's really all it comes down to for me, even when i was little i loved how tats looked.

The only people who regret them are the ones who get some one off "i wanna say I'm tatted but don't want people to see I'm tatted" that get a quote under their boob or something on the back of your shoulder

I've never had any tattoos nor piercings. I would have a tattoo to cover a scar or for a reason like that, but they are pretty expensive. I think some look really good with tattoos, others not that much.

Why would you cover up a scar? They have more meaning than any stupid tattoo ever could.

I actually quite like the look of some tattoos, and sometimes I'm vaguely tempted in a "something I've not done" way but no ...no tats/no piercings crew

But there's this programme called "tattoo fixers" which is my guilty pleasure ..these people come in with godawful little tattoos and these "fixers" who are actually good artists whack enormous tattoos on top...I'm always like well that's pretty now, but it's gonna fade and look at how much skin it covers

Well I'd consider the scar already ruining the aesthetics of that part of the skin so why not covering it with something beautiful?

Not even trying to hate on tat brahs here but lettuce be reality nobody hates tats because of the cost of quality ink... they would much rather NOT look like that regardless of cost. hell, most would probably pay to not look like that.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

Who the fuk cares If someone has been to Japan or not? Or If they belong to a tribe when they get a tribal tattoo. Stop trying to attach meaning to something as pointless as putting ink into your skin

Dear diary
Used to watch that show loads, but then realised it was literally Dave or Phil coming home from a holiday in Magluf with a penis tattooed on him and the artists being like "oh, you have a tiny penis tattoo on your arm, let me cover it with this 2ft elephant design!" and it just got ridiculous. I preferred the ones they did for people who had good stories, like the girl who lost her leg on the Smiler ride in Alton Towers (plus she was hnnng, wood plow regardless of leg status).

I wanted a tattoo for as long as I could remember, but was so hung up on getting something that meant something to me. Even had an appointment to get one done when I was 18, but backed out as I was sat in the chair because I wasn't 100% sure. Finally got an idea that was perfect for me, which was a bull tattooed over my heart. The reason being, I had aortic valve replacement surgery when I was 17, and they replaced my human valve with a bovine tissue valve.

Since getting the bull, my attitude towards tattoos has completely changed, and now that I have the one that 'means' something, I would much rather get pieces that are works of art. I can cover all of mine (admittedly I only have three at the moment, but they're pretty big) easily to suit the setting, and most people don't even know I have them.

Last I checked no one is going around with a tattoo gun after any one's virgin pearly skin. No being a fan of tatts is fine, the ugly ones even more-so, but sitting around and circle jerk loling that your life-choices are somehow superior than someone else's just based on that is laughable.
