well what you can't see in that pic is how unlevel my backyard is. It's goes downhill at a pretty good slope. So the outside parameter of bricks actually are 3 bricks deep. We had to bury them so we could fill in dirt to make sure the path would be level. And you see that giant tree? there was another one right near where I took the pic from that we had cut down last year, so all the digging we did was slowed down by hitting roots and having to chop them out with an axe. All in all, it was about 2 solid days of work. It took us 3 but the first day we got rained out twice so we were basically working in the mud. It was me, my wife and her dad that did all the work.

Yeah, see I get pretty bored after about 2 years of doing whatever I'm doing. I've had a laughable amount of career moves for my age.

Which is 40, by the way.

You gotta keep us updated on the project, sounds pretty nifty. Does he do it professionally?

Do it, ballet dancers have absolutely incredible calves, but man, most fukked up feet ever.

My lord son, how deep in the red are you? My reps seem to have done nothing.

Food suggestions, beef jerky and whiskey. Mostly srs.

Potatoes are pretty awesome. What kind of cooking equipment are you going to have with you?

I was wondering about that...I saw how unlevel it was and thought "It must have taken ages to level that chit". In any event you guys did a helluva job.

40...You don't look a day over 25...You're headed into vintage territory...He went to school for film (parents are not happy) but he's what you'd call semi-pro. He works on small projects here and there, but he wants to take the next step, and I'm more than happy to help any way I can. And lettuce be real...I'll freaking premier the chit on the misc. Can't leave you guys out.

Happy Friday everyone! I haven't actually finished a piece in a little while. The last thing I actually finished somewhat was a digital Spider Man illustration.....

Started with a rough sketch to get the gesture down, then a less rough sketch, then scanned in and digital lines.

Then added the details to the line work, flat colors, then shading

^ then did some extra polishing and done.

I did a little bit of aid climbing behind Lake Louise like 10 years ago, and did some trad on Castle Mountain close by. Canmore/Banff one of the purdier places I have traveled.

You can't see it but there's a little hut on the ledge. My route was just left of brewers buttress.

There is a pitch on chinaman's peak in canmore that is easy but very exposed. I was following it years ago in August and a little snow flurry started and the wind was gusting maybe 20 mph as I was about halfway up the pitch, and I was so scared I started giggling. I got kids now I dont even climb anymore.

This is the route here, very easy but high and exposed. I was never much good technically 5.11+ maybe.

Thanks man. Yeah I went to school for graphic design. That story from the other week about how I stabbed myself in the thumb happened when I was working on my design degree.

wtf are you doing on the misc man? Start your own business doing this, this chit is LEGIT
When the economy got chitty in the states it got REAL bad for those in the arts. I found out why the term "starving artist" was a thing. Had to make a career change and never got back into it. I freelance on occasion still though. To show how crazy the economy got in this area, I had a few real estate clients. This house was on sale for 6.2 million...

They dropped it to 2.5 million when the economy went into the crapper. That's a two page magazine spread I did. I didn't take that pic but I had to chop it heavily. Those also aren't just floating heads. I removed the names and contact info.
