My husband and I are doing the same thing right now.

We have no debt other than our investment mortgages. But we're making money off 3 of the 4 we have - so it's still a plus.

No other debt.

That interest rate is actually piss. At least in the UK we barely have any interest on ours and only have to pay once we start earning around £24k I think? Sounds like you got it planned though, GL.

a lot, the misc came through hard on that Ethereum run, that and as a petroleum engineer I've had a 6 figure income since 22 and I live like I'm in poverty. My girl is from Africa and grew up in a poor area so she doesn't care about material things which makes saving money so much easier.

I can blame the era for my problems, it seems as though that almost the price of every goods nowadays have increased while the wage for being paid has been flat as a tall girl's boobs for the same time frame.

I can't wait for the world economy to crash so I can start from scratch to prosper. idk how but it sure as hell beats the conventional path of going to college for a growing worthless degree for a field that's gonna get automated sometime soon.
Since that was me.. I sympathise. It was easier back then and it did set me up, but it sure wasn't easy. I had a period of 4 years in my early twenties living like an absolute monk, just to get a deposit together.

The uk economy is (stupidly) built on house prices. People releasing equity from their houses is the new national sport. If we actually did act to make property decently affordable we'd have an insta recession. I've been warning of this for years, it's now a mess that we have slept walk into and I genuinely can't see an easy way out

Why is it that you must bring up this crazy notion that i am leeching off my parents or something? I needed money fast, and didn't have time to deal with a bank, so my parents helped me out because they knew i was good for paying them back(already paid back over half in a little over a year. )

Now figure out a different way to cope because i am growing tired of you always bringing this up.

you are just mad that I could save the same amount you did in 4 years in just 1 and still live a comfortable life.

now back to the OP, how much have you accumulated?

Nah not finished yet

They bought you a caravan, and you have only paid them half while you have 200k sat in the bank? No wonder they call you 'Ashin the disappointment' they probably tell their friends you died in a tragic moose accident

Btw banks don't lend on caravans. Like i said, the truth will set you free

I feel like the people who are more likely to respond to this thread are those that are doing extremely well for themselves. If you are in financial turmoil, you're probably not going to make it public here. That's my theory

no way this thread is representative given the amount of miscers that have zero clue what they are doing in life.

also I hope you brahs that have tons in the equity and bond markets stay safe when the bubble pops.

but all this is assuming the dollar doesn't hyperinflate and retirement is still a thing in the 2050's and beyond...

I think most people who posted they savings are benefiting from time and actually just trying to save.

Obviously there are those literally squeezing water from stone, but most just do the company 401k, maybe an ira (though not needed) and don't spend more than they make. That is success on its own.

Thanks! I have no doubt in my mind I will achieve every bit of success I want!

I quit college because of the opportunities I had outside of it without going into too much debt. Currently am a Mortgage Loan Originator for my family's brokerage
