I’d imagine him not getting padded down when entering the precinct and the fact that he’s still alive after what he did a bit privileged.

I find it absolutely astonishing this guy could stash a gun on him while being hauled down to the station. Even more astonishing is that he's still alive. Cop killers have a tendency to commit "suicide" once they are found.

hmmm, Im not a cop or leo at all but my go to assumption would be that because its a college campus and maybe the crime rate is low there that its more lax environment? idk, Maybe this cop had a relationship with this kid and just thought hes a drug dealer and never was violent?

Need more info I suppose, but I wouldn't blanket it with "white privilege" wtfever that is.

It could be, or it could be error. The cop may have let his guard down since he isn't patrolling a crime infested city, but rather a university. Way too many unknown variables to conclude he was "privileged". He could have been very cooperative and willing to go, thus instilling a false sense of security.

That would be the opposite of my experience when I was in college. Our campus police were much more strict, by the book and I was always told they were amongst the highest paid police forces in the state.

Right, but this still doesn't sway me that this is privileged. Again, consider the setting and unknown variables. The kid could have been extremely cooperative at first. The university is also not an inner city area, where serious crime may be more widespread. The cop may have been like "oh, it's some pothead student." I'm not saying cops are right 100% of the time, but people must consider the settings and other variables that come into play. I"m curious to see what his punishment will be when the case concludes in the next couple of decades between appeals, ect.

Interesting. What college was this? From my experience, the uni PD at WVU was by the book, but I've never seen them act aggressively. The Morgantown PD was pretty aggressive. The PD at WCSU (small state school in CT) were pretty lax, never saw them even raise their voice.

Also, if you read the report, it was campus cops doing a wellness check. He probably wasn't actually under arrest, they just took him in to make sure he was okay. Basically the PD was trying to keep the kid out of jail, so he kills one of them. Perfectly logical response.
