anyone ever done the potato hack diet? decided to start it today just to see whats up. you basically eat nothing but plain potatos for 3-5 days. Usually lose a few pounds of fat, lots of documented success.

Going to do it today through Friday for lulz. Will report back with results. I just had my first potato only meal. A couple russet potatos with salt and hot sauce, probably 450 calories, and actually full. crazy.

a blog I read (visualimpactfitness) got me thinking about it. its really useful once you are lean, because as soon as you start to gain weight or feel like you are getting puffy, you just do this for 3-5 days and drop weight back off.

I could pull something like this if it included has browns, loaded potatoes, and home fires.
Plan on eating just potatoes for 3-5 days.
Eat 2-5 pounds of potatoes each day.
No other foods allowed (this includes butter, sour cream, cheese, and bacon bits).
Salt is allowed, but not encouraged.
Drink when thirsty: coffee, tea, and water only.
Heavy exercise is discouraged; light exercise and walking are encouraged.
Take your normal medications, but dietary supplements will not be needed
nope. lol

will see how it goes. I will admit the first meal was filling for that many calories...that is the premise, is that potatos are the most satiating food on the planet by a long shot, and obviously are full of energy. They give a bunch of other chemical reasons that I ignored.

the added bonus is my lunch today was $1 lol.

No thanks. A dry potato sounds horrible.
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

I was obsessed with He-Man. Had almost all of the figures. My mom went crazy one Christmas to try to buy me every figure she could find. I don't know how she did it. We didn't have a lot of money at the time. Of course, over time, with moves and such, they all got lost in the yard or thrown out. I have a bunch of old baseball cards from the 80s though.

So another "diet" that's nothing more than a way to get you to eat fewer calories than you expend?

of course, that is what they all are. I am absolutely a calories in/calories out guy as 5 years ago I lost about 100 pounds by counting calories and the long term trend of weight loss matched the calorie counting perfectly.

The theory is that the satiety and carb content makes it easier to do and feel better doing it with more energy. I am willing to try anything for 3-4 days just because I find stuff like this interesting.

our fatass neighbor (the woman) always asked me how I lost all that weight and kept it off. I said I understand how many calories I eat. **bertstare every time** she then proceeds to tell me what diet she is now on and asks me what I think, I always say are you eating less calories now? **bertstare** she once told me she was eating peppermint patties because she read peppermint sped up your metabolism ***my turn to bertstare** I said so you eat a 400 calorie icecream snack to speed up your metabolism?

Nothing but potatoes for 3-5 days? No thanks Jeff.

Also, I nostalgia hard at the old shows and toys we had growing up. That Geico He-man commercial hits me in the feels.

I bought a Gen 1 Transformers shirt and Voltron shirt a while back just because of nostalgia. Kids today will never know those feels.

Have you given a Keto diet a serious kick yet? I dropped some serious weight in 2-3 months this spring and once I was 'in' it was pretty easy. Energy levels never really peaked, but never dropped off either. It was like having 75-80% on tap any time.

I'm starting another round for a couple months this fall, see if I can lean out a bit before Christmas binge season.

^^^^ All movies remade or being remade that this guy will not watch. They either got it right the first time or it was garbage so why re-heat it.

I did look up the 3 boobed chick from the new total recall. I figured they might have done a better job, like maybe put the third one on the back for slow-dancing.

I've been listening to a lot of synthwave lately. It's basically 80's nostalgia in musical form.
