I'd say my advice even applies to people trying to do this full time.

And I'm not talking about swing trading here... I've done that successfully. If you keep a watch on certain coins enough, you can get a pretty good feel for their fluctuations and make some profit

Because I didn't take the time to research and make a smart decision like I normally do. Instead I saw 3 pages on 'LRC to the Moon', 'we blasting off' and I immediately signed up to get myself on that rocket ship. Not even 5 minutes after buying in, that was it, it went down and hasn't come anywhere close to where I bought in.

I'm taking it as a sign from the crypto gods.

I will leave it be, never check on it, if LRC dies a slow death, then I have no emotional attachment, but if it comes back, I have an exit plan for a coin I shouldn't even have bought.

I think November is when we will see some real movement due to it's smart contract launch. Right now It's Bitcoin that's King, i'm wondering if even relisting on binance IF it happens this month will move the price. We would have gotten to like 30 cents had Bitcoin not had it's run it just overshadowed all LRC's hype. Going to hold til next month then reevaluate.

I'm still big on Loopring. I got in at around 17 cents so not really down that much. Just remember why you originally bought it. Nothing has changed with LRC from then until now, all alts have been taking a hit. I still believe it will have its day.

Props to everyone who had the foresight to jump to BTC last week. My portfolio has gone down ~25% in BTC but not quite as bad in USD. Just hodling until this fork is over

How much did you buy it? Did you buy in without trusting their project's value?
They actually have a good project.

How much in % are you down from the vaue you bought in? I'm 23% down at this point but its actually not enough to panic.
Aside from that, we have a clear reason why most good alts are going down. The fork.

Was almost happy this morning when i saw the price of BTC. But forgot to remove buy orders I had at what I thought was low prices at the time, and now they are even lower. Broke even instead of just being up.

I'm all for GOAT picks, but I still can't believe ETP actually went up in BTC value while BTC was going up.

Eth is looking solid tbh, establishing an uptrend and just needs to break the $320 range.

I don't think anything was made official yet. From what I've heard, China's congress will be meeting next week and a decision will be made then.

Can someone give me the cliffs of the fork happening to bitcoin later this month? I am new to this and have no clue what implications this will have. Just bought 10k in coins earlier today and feel really uneasy about it now.

Getting ready to drop another 3 G's at loopring, Still deciding if I should lock my LRC up for 18 months and do the incentive program and get some potentially 8-10k free tokens and not be able to spend my stack for a year and half and hope that by that time I could have forgotten about it pay off a house... or 2? would be prob investing 6-7 thousand for 55-65k tokens in 18 months....

If i were you I would sell your btc before the fork, wait to see what happens and then get back in.

You could hold long term and be fine but short term you may see btc drop after the fork. And you would be able to get in cheaper

What we know:

People have been getting into BTC before the fork because last time there was a fork bitcoin split into bitcoin cash. Whatever coins you have in btc, youll receive the same amount in bitcoin gold like people did with bitcoin cash.
Bitcoin cash ended up surging at one point, essentially giving people free money. It went from like sub 100 dollars to 800 dollars per at one point. This is why people are getting into BTC

What we don't know:

Whether people will dump btc once they get bitcoin gold
Whether people will dump after this fork October 25th and remain in btc for the other fork (segwit 2x)
Whether people will dump after segwit 2x
