Dammit lol, I just bought 1,000 rounds from Midwest for $330 to my door. I could always use a few thousand more.

Honestly though bump stocks increase rate of fire but they are horribly inaccurate at the same time. Guy had a great vantage point and a TON of people to shoot at to be successful.

This, bump stocks are lame. The only reason I don't want them banned is because what is next. Give them an inch they will want a mile.

Cali gets stricter and stricter every year. Friend owns a hunting/weapon store every year he gets boned harder and harder to the point of he will be moving his business to Nevada.

And that wasn't just the best deal on a real Colt, that was one of the best deals going period as you couldn't really get anything as good for less, or better for the same amount.

And now...plus inflation in there...it's crazy
Oh yeah. I remember when AKs were cheap and plentiful now they have flipped. The first AK I bought was an almost NIB MAK-90 for $240 a couple years before my first AR. I got 1000 rounds of Wolf for like $80.00.

When I first got started, I had one ****ty mag. Wife and I have four AR-15s now and 30-something mags for them. Different colors for different rifles, some windowed, some not, etc. The rifle itself comes with a mag, so you've got 8 mags, which is probably all you'll ever use. Some MFC guys will tell you to have 18 mags. My advice? Take those 8 mags, and slowly buy Gen III Windowed Medium Coyote Tan PMags until you have seven of them. That's enough for one in the gun and six in a chest rig.

It will cost him less to move to a less-awful state and vote R than it will to try to sue the State of California for his rights back.

just a thought, but with plentiful Aero lowers at $50, some folks might be interested in building instead of buying a complete rifle

Maybe, but this is a spectacular deal on a great rifle that doesn't require any assembly and almost certainly costs less than any comparable build.

More magazines.

They are critical to effectively utilizing the rifle. They are cheapAF. They are expendable, they don't last forever, they can be beat up or broken in actual use (dropped, stepped on, etc), they can even be lost. They are a target for restrictions and bans. They are also handy to put in multiple locations such as with the rifle, in one kind of rig or setup, in a range bag, in another kind of rig or setup, in various preparedness bags, in vehicles, etc.

I mean we're talking like $700-$1,000 for the rifle, maybe $400-$1,200+ for an optic if you get one, maybe an upgraded FCG (trigger), rail, grip, hundreds of dollars on just a getting-started level of ammo, and all of the supporting stuff and range expenses etc, but afraid to drop $50-$100 for magazines? What?

Those people are probably already aware of the market and what to look for, where, etc. It would still be hard to match the Colt deal, anyway.

The best sound attenuation (you likely want that for most shooting/range setups when a a rifle or rifles are involved)

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

These are a good deal for the money, but don't stop nearly as much sound (rated by NRR)

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You can put regular foam earplugs (foam earplugs are quite good at reducing soundwhen inserted properly) or other ear plugs in under the above and turn up the volume to get a pretty good effect as well

Lots of other choices, but in the end the big huge fat over the head earmuffs will give the best sound attenuation...slim line will be the least likely to get bumped out of place by your shoulder or the stock etc...and electronic muffs will be recommended for classes etc

Of course, there are also suppressors, but there's a bit of wait on the paperwork and you still want some kind of ear protection for much shooting with 5.56/.223 since it's supersonic

Just picked up my first AR a couple weeks ago. Got it all decked out with a new rail, gas block, optics, etc. I got the DPMS oracle for 425 after $50 rebate. With taxes and everything the rifle was about 460 out the door. Haven't even shot it yet, but probably will this weekend
