If it's anything like last time, you're looking at a 40% drop from it's upcoming peak, wherever that may be.

BTC has tested $5800 twice so far this morning.

1st time it ate through a $110k sell wall, followed by falling back.
2nd time it at through $50k of a $150k sell wall, followed by falling back.

The more you know.

I'm tempted to sell into USDT to wait for that next low point. Day trade some BTC.

I wonder if there is any truth to people saying that November fork won't be as massive for BTC as October one is right now. I'm reading here and there that a lot of people have doubts, call it a scam, you name it. It would be glorious if we could unload BTC at its highest after the first fork, then accumulate some more for "cheap" and unload again for max gains in November but seeing multiple mentions about November fork being chit makes me worried.

I'm a small fry playing with measlies and a single BTC amounts to big part of my portfolio (would acquire more but I'm furnishing my apartment which I also have mortgage on) so I'm extra careful with my moves. I'm thinking about splitting between WTC, NEO and OMG (50-25-25), maybe throwing some into LRC but it's still up in the air.

Alternate scenario is selling BTC and re-buying on the dip.

After getting cold feet a few times now and missing out on good opportunities with BTC and ETH I'm going to start a small initial investment. Planning on setting up a separate checking account that will only be used for buying from exchanges but I've read several places will shut your account down for it. Do you all have any recommendations for banks that won't give you any hassle over it?

I'd consider myself a small fry. If I were getting into crypto at this moment knowing what I know now, I'd be putting my money into BTC or ETH only. I still believe in the alts I own, but buying a handful of solid alts from scratch won't get you the kind of gains that will pay off in the long run as BTC will. Some daytraders may disagree, and they wouldn't necessarily be wrong (and I'm not saying I'm 100% right). But daytrading comes with a whole other set of risks than just buying and holding BTC.

Just read an article on Coin Telegraph that PNC is calling customers who make crypto transactions and threaten to close accounts over it.

But I wouldn't discuss publicly those who don't give a chit yet, which I think is most. But you don't know who is lurking.

I just use my credit card and instant buy of coinbase. The rewards for the CC are pretty much a wash of the fees coinbase charges. No waiting for wire transfers and checks to clear.

With my 2-3 youtube vids on swing trades and with the very limited knowledge I have on reading charts ETP is looking really juicy at the moment.

Also I have a new gem I've found for the MISC.

6M Market cap, trading around ICO price. Beta being released this month and a brand new website release. Extremely active team, with weekly updates. Lots of news features and looks very transparent. Project actually has a use in trillion dollar business, it targets pre-existing businesses and solves a problem for them. I'll do a full write up for the MISC and then if people want to invest they can, and then I'll begin doing the usual stuff. Although I'm a bit cautious as the fork is coming up and might not be the best time in blowing up an altcoin, but I'll see.

A competitor with a bad website, and several major problems is trading at 10x the price of this coin.

WTC under 100k sats

Whales are having a field day, snagging up these fire sales coins.

I keep buying too, putting my money where my mouth it.

I think like 85% of my holdings are in WTC.

In Walton I trust.

This weekend when I'm not at work and can give crypto my full attention I'm going to try swing trading my WTC stack. It's a perfect time for it because timing a trade wrong and ending up stuck in BTC might not be a bad thing right now

Walton makes me nervous as hell. I don't know why but I've got more faith in LRC right now.

Fukn work. I had my first swing trade set up perfect and was about to sell and the guy that talks way too much walked in my office. By the time he got done gabbing I missed it. Damn work getting in the way of my day trading. Decided the hell with it and put an aggressive sell order in at a 15% gain.

Exactly, the only downfall is pickup up some coins and it immediately falls further delaying your swing trade.

Then having to buy more at a lower cost, doubling down on the swing and patiently waiting.

Happened this morning to me, only 16% of my sell order filled and it took a dump because for some reason people are selling at **** sats just to get out.

Had a go at doing so over the last 12 hours. Mistimed a fair bit, but still came out ahead a reasonable amount relative to what I'm holding.

This is easily the best thread on this site. No other thread is everyone wanting everyone (for the most part) to have success. Everyone hodling together and riding to the moon together. Das it, das it!

Hoping for BTC and OMG to increase today or at least remain relatively steady. The main reason I bought the BTC the other day was to diversify, and I'm interested in seeing how this Bitcoin Gold goes.

Anyways, I'm off work today and it's time to head to Foxwoods.

LRC bounced back after that whale cashed out yesterday. Looks like .16-.18 is the floor. So I’m hoping it can only go up from here.

NEO’s CoZ released news they’re creating a new DEX called NEX that will handle all NEP5 tokens while LRC protocol is for ERC20 tokens.

So definitely good news for LRC.

I think it’s best to wait after the fork or a few days before. The big boys are focusing on bitcoin now but once the fork is near or done, more funds will be avail for this pump

Walton makes too much sense in real world logistic for it to fail. The only thing I can see happening is a copy cat coming and beating them to the punch, or a giant corp coming in after and finding a way of doing it better by throwing too much money at it.
I work in manufacturing and do a lot of supply chain management so this coin is right up my alley.
Here is an example if I have Waltons logic correct.

I place a Purchase Order to buy 5000 SqFt of Leather.
Tannery makes my leather and packages it up on multiple pallets and/or boxes.
Each of those has an RFID chip, the first scan from the tannery> Next Scan from Freight Forwarder > Next Scan from Airline > Next Scan from US Customs > Next Scan from US Trucking company > Final scan at drop off
At any point, I should be able to take the RFID # and enter it in the system to track its whereabouts.
Currently, I email on a weekly basis asking for updates for delivery dates. whereabouts, who has what, what is the hold up.
It makes too much sense for it to fail

My only worry is that implementation is very far away. After this month with the wallet release, new blockchain, new exchanges, I'm really thinking it might dump and find its footing until they are ready in a few years to roll out on a massive scale and put it in real world logistic.

The level of delusion on almost every coin sub-reddit is unreal. Any time a coin gets a pump it's "to the moon", "easily $10b market cap" - then it goes down and it's "last chance to get in cheap", "whale manipulation", "weak hands", "5x by end of year"

This forum feels a lot more balanced tbh.

Edit: Maybe /r/CryptoCurrency is a bit more balanced since it's in a more neutral space.
