Been following LTC 1D chart since a while, seems we hit bottom and found support. Solid time to buy now and sell in max. 1 month

Waiting for the pending charges to show up so I can verify my card with coinbase and get started. Thinking about picking up a small amount of ETH to get started. Still reading and trying to understand the upcoming fork with BTC to determine if I should go ahead and buy or watch for a potential drop in price when it occurs.

If you are just getting started I might wait until after the segwit goes down. Not only would you be buying at near ATH for these, NO ONE knows what segwit might do. The risk of a crash is real, and if not, there will still money to be made after.

That's kind of what I'm thinking and part of the reason I'm starting with ETH. I've skipped out on BTC enough over the past few years and watched it bite me in the arse down the road so I'm sure I could still make money from it after the fork whether it dips or not.

It's amazing how little anything is moving. Every alt I watch at least has been sitting near the middle of it's 24 hr high and low not moving much at all for the past 10+ hours. It's calm....too calm.

BTC order book update - this morning there was a near-million dollarsell wall right at $5800. BTC shot up to $5774, the wall is now gone, and it's in a good position to break that $5800 mark for a second time this week. This time we can hope it shoots past instead of topping out at $5850.

I know I'm afraid to jump into any alt. BTC can break upward at any time and the alts will crash further when it does. We're looking at some severe lows for 'strong' alts in the near future.

As I mentioned above, why would anyone put money into alts when putting money into BTC = free money at every fork? It really makes no sense to be confident in alts right now, but it makes perfect sense to predict BTC to jump up higher than $5850 to a new ATH.

Do not sell your LRC right now. If you want to exit, at least wait until the fork news settles down and wait until after the Chinese National Congress which starts soon and will end after 10 days. Then wait for Binance news.

Remember why you bought LRC:

1) It is being pumped on reddit and other forums
2) NEO advisor which is big in itself, think: Vitalik Buterin and OMG
3) It solves a huge problem with centralization of exchanges and therefore fights on behalf of Cryptos
4) Solid team

So should I buy more btc? It keeps going up this month like crazy. Already bought 1.83 coins yesterday. Tempted now to buy more if the up coming fork is going to double my money.

Well, the upcoming for is NOT going to double your money, that's for sure. Don't plan on that at all. Buy BTC with the intention ofpossiblymaking money from BTCgold, nothing is certain there. Buy BTC if you believe it's going to rise more, not because of the 'free money.'

don't understand this line of thinking. seems like a good time to look at migrating high priced btc back into cheap alts to me. don't all those old stock traders say that you never chase momentum but instead buy up the unloved assets when things are quiet and just wait until they blastoff?

its super risky to buy into momentum near all time highs hoping to sell even higher. are you prepared to hold it through one or several screaming -40% crashes before you get to that 2x?

lol, this fork will not double your money, or anything even close to it. I think the more they fork it, the less impact it will have.

I personally dont buy anything until its down by double digits, and even then I only buy bits of it over time until it trends back up, and then im back on the sidelines. slowly average your funds into this, dont throw down a big wad and bet it all on red 13.

Any LRC bag holders make sure you submit this form (LINK BELOW) so LRC can get listed on Poloniex. The form is already filled out so all you have to do is just press send. This will help pump up the price. Spread the word.

Bruh in the scheme of things you arent late to the party. Crypto is still unknown to the vast majority of people. In saying that though, if you're broke, or even if you arent dont be putting anything in that you arent willing to lose.

It definitely can feel like you're too late when you see how high the market cap has risen in the past year, but in reality crypto is in its infancy stages as far as its utilization in our global market. Investing in crypto today is still very risky because we are dealing with an unregulated market that has been very volatile lately, but the pay off can be great if the developers can hurdle past scalability/efficiency issues. The fact that everything is opensource and becoming more of a cult fanbase will lead more talented developers to contribute to promising project like etherum and such. Make sure you do your own research and never invest more than anything you're willing to lose.

Them: Litecoin? Is that like that bitcoin thing or something?
Me: Yeah more or less
Them: ***sips beer*** yeah i heard of that chit. isn't one of them worth like $30 dollars or some chit?

What do you guys plan on doing 2 days before the fork or even earlier? Are you guys planning on converting to USDT up until the fork is confirmed a success and buy back in or not? I defs want to pull profit in order to grow my BTC stack but as I said in earlier post not wanting this all to back fire if I end up converting to USDT and just watch it sky rocket regardless of the fork

In the current atmosphere, I'd say either option is logical. You have cheap alts, but there is a definite possibility they're going to get cheaper. There are two impending forks looming in the near future, which has meant dropping alts in the past. So putting money into alts is risky and could mean further losses immediately, but gains in the long run.

Then there is the other side of the coin where forks generally point to an increase in BTC. The forks are a couple of weeks out on average, which is a significant amount of time in this space, so BTC could certainly rise significantly in that time. Someone could have $1000s more dollars to pull out when BTC peaks around the fork. Of course, the fork could already be priced in and we could see a fall from here. The TA is certainly pointing to another increase as the current bull penant finishes forming, but TA isn't exactly reliable in this space either.

Bottom line, multiple ways of thinking are logical and it comes down to making the decision for yourself. I am currently sitting in pure BTC and have already put my personal limit into crypto, so I'm not buying anymore of anything right now.

Good line of thinking with your post, FYI. Right now I believe both of our lines of thinking are valid.
