Sopmod Enhanced Stock
Spikes ST-T2 buffer
BCM polished trigger group
BCM grip
Trijicon MRO on Larue 1/3 QD mount
This was an intended budget 'nice' AR. Put it together for right around $575-$600, then another $500 for the optic.
For paint, it's all Aervoe, did a base of Earth Yellow, and Earth Red.
On top the brown is Drab, and then Olive Drab. Was just a quick go, didn't give anything time to dry, didn't take my time, didn't really give a fawk.

k peace out bye

Would rep again if I could Ike.
Thanks for all your help, proud first time gun owner to be here.
Got the Colt in the OP with the Daniel Defense irons and the mags/ammo you linked me here:http://palmettostatearmory.com/ameri...magazines.html
Talked to my local range/shop, $35 for the transfer fees, not bad at all
excited to take a first step into this hobby

Try to sign up for an introductory class. Also, when you take possession of the rifle, have the dealer show you how to work the charging handle, how to load and release a magazine, and how to work the safety and bolt release. Keep in mind that the safety will only engage if the hammer is back, and that the weapon was designed to be kept on safe until ready to pull the trigger.
For your Daniel Defense Sights, this is a good video on zeroing them. I'd recommend putting a target at 25 yards, shooting a 5-shot group from the prone off of a backpack, and adjusting your sights to be one inch low at 25 yards. That will have you on target at 50 yds, a little high at 100, and back on at 200.

A good source for hands on learning the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship (in between discussions on Liberty and our early American Heritage)
Click on a state to see events
https://appleseedinfo.org/schedulemap/
It would be most efficient to know the basic function of your rifle before attending. Ask Ike said, you can ask where you pick it up and hope they aren't stupid, but YouTube is probably better. Just be able to load and unload a magazine, insert the mag, charge the rifle (load a round into the chamber), on/off safe, unload, lock the bolt back...that will all be in the owners manual as well

I'll make sure to take your advice, was already planning on asking the shop to go over the weapon with me and help me understand it's components. Already started looking up classes and such as well so I can really make sure I understand how to use and take care of this rifle.

18" rifle made by Ruger? Nah. Midlength is better than carbine, but carbine is still what 90% of all ARs run.

For anyone who bought a case of ammo, fill out this form, print the submission ticket, and mail it, your invoice, and the UPC off the case box in for your rebate. Use the UPC off of one of the individual boxes and the proof of purchase from the case for mailing:https://sporting.myonlinerebate.com/11660/

whats up everyone... anyone have experience with a Sig Sauer AR? specifically the M400? Any opinions on it are appreciated as I'm looking to get my first AR. Yeah I could go with simple and basic but functional like the S&W M&P Sport, but I have a Sig Sauer P226, so I know they're quality guns...
I also carry a S&W Shield, so I know S&W aren't bad guns either, but I'm just looking for opinions on their AR's. Thanks all.
