What should I ask for a stripped aero m5 lower?
Bought it on impulse and have no intentions of finishing it because I have a 700 in .308 already and its more fun to shoot.

Only thing I haven't decided on is the stock. Weight doesn't really matter since I won't be moving very much with it.
I've tried nearly everything out there, except a JAE. I usually end up back at KRG chassis.
Im running a Whiskey 3 folder now, but wouldn't feel bad if I had another X-ray. I just needed some weight in the rear this time.

[img]https://i.imgur.com/t46z6hY.jpg[g]
Ima be honest. I'm contemplating selling the RRA AR I have and put that money towards doing this right like you and Aaron suggested from the beginning. I think I'm going to feel like I'm always compromising if I build this action.
Those Bighorn actions look really tempting. Do you have to have a gunsmith install the barrel on those?

Is it just me . . . or does anyone else hate shirts with huge logos/designs on the front? On the back is fine. Front just looks goofy to me.

Just one of the costs of getting a better price. For reference, I bought a Ruger American 22lr from them on 9/13 and they had it for me to pickup on 9/19. I'm local to them and not sure where the rifle actually originated. Is it usually pretty normal for there to be a bit of a delay when purchasing a gun online?
Purchased Friday
Later in the day got email from GunsMidwest saying the FFL I gave them doesn't accept 3rd party transfer
Gave them a new FFL who I've used before
Guy says Thank you
That's the last I've heard from him was Friday Afternoon
Emailed him earlier this morning asking how it went, contacted my FFL and they haven't heard from them yet
I realize it's only Monday but just wondering about this. My glock 19 took 2 weeks for them (another company, Combat Armory) to finally get it shipped.

As Aaron has mentioned, if switch barrels are what you want to do, just do the AI AT. I'm $300 shy of an AT for what I have in my Bighorn build. When you are spending $7k all-in with glass, you don't want to wish you went another direction over a choice that would have only cost a few hundred dollars.
That said, my push to want an AI AT now is that I could use an MPA Chassis with them. I really don't care for the ergos of the AI Chassis. That was part of my reasoning for doing the bighorn, was I had a large variety of stocks/Chassis to use.

That RPR sure looks nice.
$7k estimate on mine also includes the $1k I have in my bipod and scope mount. Certainly cheaper routes to go.
All that said, the RPR has a few companies making prefit barrels for them. PVA and LRI are a couple. Definitely a good route to go if you like AR15 ergos and accessories.
