Yep you sound EXACTLY like this girl I went to church with.
Had to wipe her kid down with sanitizing wipes after everything he did, had to have boutique clothes on them
Wouldn't Wouldn't wear anything from anyone unless it was a "wealthy and clean" family..but would regularly "donate" HER stuff to me and Goodwill lol
Would only buy $60 denim skirts from Maurice's
Would buy $300 fancy outfits for church
Wouldn't eat at waffle house because there was a gay man there and she thought she'd get aids.
Spent all of the money her husband made

And there's this thing made for washing clothes called a washing machine lol you bring the clothes home and put them in it..it magically cleans them! I'm pretty sure no one has gotten a disease from buying second hand clothes. I'm kinda triggered to be honest.

I try to be understanding but can't stand people with this mentality

We have a reuse center (at the dump aka sanitation Dept) and when people put clothes in the recycling bin they sanitize them and sell them for Β’25-50 a piece.

I tell rich people that say "ohh what pretty boots" that I buy my clothes from the dump and watch them look disgusted lmfao

I cannot do that, I would not feel good wearing it, it's just me I have OCD regarding this. I have an intolerance to bad smells as well, so I actually wash my coat/ jacket in the washing machine (if its washable) because it might have caught smells from the outside. am srs lol. not even joking.

Ive been like this always.

I'm not picking on you too much...but it can't just be an OCD thing if your parents told you to not wear used clothes because you can get diseases . Add that to the fact that you said you like nice, shiny, expensive things...it sounds very snobbish.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt though if you say you're not like that

conditioned by her parents. Nothing more to see here. I actually sympathize with her, because I know adults like this.

My parents told me that also which made me think ewwwww lol come on you just never know. Its that never knowing where the clothes have been that puts me off. I'm not a snob, certainly not by any means, I know the value of a dollar (or a pound over here), and I might like expensive designer stuff but it doesn't consume my life. We all just have different tastes I suppose.

There kind of it though. The media has brainwashed her into thinking a label on something = of higher quality

With exception of a few things this normally isn't true

Sorry I don't jump on the hate banwagon. I'm already over pretend WKing her, so you can miss me with that. My post remains legitimate regardless of who I quoted. Not everyone likes the same ****. Some people like simple things, some people like pricey designer things. Get over it *******.

Well higher quality things are normally associated with status. I don't think there's anything wrong with trying to peacock.

Having a credit card isn't a scam, its purpose is to demonstrate that if you are loaned money you are responsible enough to pay it back, allowing you be loaned money up front for large purchases like houses.

The fact that you got a loan for a house without any previous lines of credit is kind of baffling and you would have without a doubt gotten a better rate on your mortgage if you had previously owned a credit card.

My best find was "Johnson Family Reunion and Juneteenth Celebration" written over a line drawing of Dr. Martin Luther King. Sadly I shredded it in a mountain bike crash.

My future hubby can buy me whatever he wants, no qualms about that. Nonetheless, I wouldn't go about pushing or pulling squibles over material items, also, much of the designer stuff I have from bags etc, I have bought myself, my parents have bought me some stuff too but not exactly everything.

I'd buy it myself if I really wanted to. Hun, I have never in all my life been dependant on a man, I never bothered having boyfriends growing up, and I didn't care for it, co-dependancy is something I actually really REALLY dont like about the idea of relationships.
