I just got an HL earlier this week. I figure no such thing as too bright, sure it'll reflect a bit off your walls, but if I hear a bump in the night I can blind the fuk out of whoever it is and gives me more time to assess the situation.

I have a Fenix PD35 flashlight that is legit 1000 lumens. If I turn that on in the house in the dark my night vision is gone, just from the reflection off of a dark wall. Ill probably go with the 300 lumen and hope I don't need to give someone a sunburn with my light.

Especially now that the used one is gone

This is a good read:

Newsweek recently published an article titled: ‘Was Stephen Paddock Normal? Many Gun Owners Keep 17 Firearms on Average.’ It’s based on a study that is all wrong.

Doesn't surprise me. Black rifle market is VERY slow right now and has been for the entire year.

My priority for the next few months is just cans and more training. Maybe minor stuff on the guns I have. I'm trying to go to an M-lok setup on my two stamp MCX. I could use a decent brake on my precision AR. Haven't run my 516 yet but that will get put through the paces soon. The MCX Rattler was kind of a frivolous purchase but I'll probably put it through a class to see if it's as fun as it looks.

The shield 2.0 is out. My dealer told me they got some in. Saw that someone put a vid up on YouTube. It’s just grip texturing from what I can tell so kinda lame. Not that the shield was bad or anything but eh.

Sup dudes, went hunting again. Some ******* with a savage stealth tried blocking a trail with his 2wd ranger. I tried to go around him and ended up sliding down within inches of his truck. Luckily he hadn't gone far. Anyway, no deer and no tracks. All I saw were squirrel tracks and two coyote tracks.

It was fun though, still have one weekend open.

My wife just legitimately asked me if I would rather have a new gun or a new couch, as if that would make me say "oh yeah I don't need that gun after all let's buy a couch instead".

lol I was like lol what did you expect there

Those are hngg pics above.

also, checked out a new shield m2.0 and was actually surprised. grip texture didnt rub my hand raw like my shield .45 and it was dialed down a bit but still fairly aggressive. trigger is a carbon copy from the shield .45 which is way better than the groce OG shield with that trash phantom reset than actual reset.
