I second "The Wire". Good show into inner city drug trafficking, the problems the cops have arresting and getting the dealers to prosecution, the problems the city faces when violent thugs roam the streets, the problems the users face with addiction, and so forth. There is one season that focuses on union corruption too. The storylines are woven together very well and it makes for a very compelling show.

And I get why they do that, because BATFE will go in dry, but the fact that it is an issue at all is dumb as all ****. Even if you overlook the ridiculous, asinine, unconstitutional nature of the requirement that you get federal government permission first, it is even more stupid that the business who calls the federal government for permission(if they have to do that, some states carry licenses exempt since you already got permission)must be in the same state you are. Why the **** does it matter if the dealer making you fill out a 4473 and getting federal government permission is in your state of residence or not? And what the **** does it matter if you live in this part of the county or that part of the county, all in the same ****ing state?
