Good morning. I'll be in and out today. Youngest has a volleyball tourney, though it's not far away from work, so I'll be going back and forth.

And, I'm hungry.

I'm home packing for two weeks :/

Got my cardio raking leaves this morning. 15 tarp loads and they are half down. Living in the woods is only cool in the summer.

Keeping my driveway free from pine needles is an uphill battle.

I’m starting work on my backyard fence today.

Most are in a wooded area, a mower can't traverse. I really don't have a yard. Brick paver patios and walkways in the back..but the leaves need to be cleared. In the spring I might try to seed some shade grass. See if it will grow.

It's really nice and private. Very woodsy. We have a lake across the street with a sand beach and swim area. Awesome for the kids and has keg parties on the weekend. Will be nice for the next few ywars

And, now working a little on a Sunday. Our sales staff overbooked October production by leaps and bounds. I'm not exactly sure how anybody can miss it by this much, but such is life.

I have been traveling every single week. I can handle the short ones pretty often, but then add a two week class, and a 10 week one onto it (they aren't fun). I feel bad for my kids. Plus I haven't been able to get much done around the house.

hmmmm. I love whe the practical application of a job isn't considered when outlining production and quota. IDK what you do, but that's the tag line for most sales vs production. or where theoretical meets reality. That sucks, man.

We go through this every year. I work in almonds, so ag sales are a tricky balancing act in keeping farmers happy and being able to meet production schedules.
There are 4 partners in our company. 1 does sales, 1 does buying (farmer rep), 1 is the finance guy, and I'm the production/plant guy. Our interests don't always match as you can imagine.
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

I bet when you ARE home, you dote on them and love on them constantly... The fact that you're worried about how they are handlng this stuff speaks to that kinda daddy... Only kids whose parents treat them as an extention of work and dismiss them when they're actually able to spend time with their kids turn out to be POSs... Their daddy loves them and they know it.

I speak from experience. My dad worked at night and slept all day when I was a kid and I rarely got to talk with him. But when I DID get to hang out with him, he treated me as though I was the most important thing in the world and tha nothing else came before me. I could tell then, and I cn appreciate it now. I'm not a trash person now bc I didn't get to see my dad as much as I wanted, but I appreciate the time that I get to spend with him now more than anything else.

It's a whole process in my neighborhood. Over the course of 2 months or so, I'll spend about 2 hours each weekend clearing leaves. This year is kind of weird because some leaves started turning color in August but the bulk of them are still green. Normally I'd have done at least one big round by now.
