I live here in CA in the bay area - just going to costco or walmart can get pretty crazy in a way. inconsiderate rude people pushing through just to get to the fruit section, or lord forbid Costco has the food sample people out. It's actually incredible to watch
This place will be an absolute chit-show if it were for an emergency.
If there was ever shtf, i'm getting the fuk out of here ASAP, no question
But other than this bay area, and down south in LA, CA is relatively rural - I would imagine you could hide out in the sierras or yosemite or really any of the vast outdoors we have here. Opinions?

but yeah evacuation would blow. all these people leaving, funneled into mostly 2 lane rural roads - i-5 which is the stretch of road that connects the bay area to southern california is 2 lanes one way, 2 lanes the other. nothing but farmland in all directions.
CA is either desolate farmland or youre in some kind of mountains/hills. (at least what i've driven through)
Maybe my truck will be lifted by then and while everyone is stuck on the road, i'lll just mash through the farms like the truck in the movie Twister

Finally hit the range to sight in at 100yards with my new spr build. Previous attempts to sight in at 100 always had the bays taken.
Best and final target. 10rds, 55gr, fmj-bt reloads. Had 1 flyer, but 9 where in the inch. This was bench shooting on a concrete bench and sand bags. Slow cadence.
Using an appleseed target. Ran out of sight-ins.
Ran out of time to do actual shooting prone with a sling. Still, I was happy.

Traded my PS4 for a Ruger SR9C. I haven't played videogames in a while as there is no time. I'll wait to get the ps5... whenever it comes out.
All and all, not bad. Sits well in my hand, decent trigger. Also bought a nice steak from a local butcher shop that has does raised on local farms. My god, that was a good steak. Tender and juicy.
Got a holster, 4 10 round mags, a bottle of slp2000, and 25 rounds of hornady critical defense. Says he only fired 4 boxes of 50 round target ammo thru it. Looks clean, no scratches, barrel nice, rails nice.
Next pistol I want is a 1911 of some sort. It would be my first pistol that's not chambered in 9mm, besides me s&w bodyguard 38. Such a big market for 1911s though. Buddy has a dan Wesson 1911, very nice.
Once I get outta slave state, I'll get myself a nice ar15, or 3 or 4. I refuse to pay 1800 for a pre 1994 ar15 here, and thats for a basic one. Would like one in 5.56, 300blk, and something else. Also would love to pick up a nice bolt action rifle. Ahh...

A better barrel (FN CHF barrels are hnggg)
And better furniture
And an H1 buffer already which is nice
Well worth the cost increase because if you do those upgrades on a Colt it’ll be more than $500.
