Bro, don't be so confident. You would have some serious advantage because of your weight (not your height). But he is probably faster than you and if he has a good timing... you would be out of action once you get hit in the balls for example. You have a lot of weak points just like everyone has. A kick in your knees can put you out of action in less than 2 seconds (cuz your legs would be broken). Thats why it is now allowed to atack knees in Karate. You can't also atack nose downside up for example cuz you would be dead in seconds.

cardio doesn't mean chit when your 130lb punches and kicks aren't really hurting the other guy
and he has you grabbed by the shirt throwing ham fists at your face

you'd probably stomp other 5'5 people though, possibly up to 5'8 and 165lbs (lean) based on training stats

Oh he would probably rek me
I have a boxing background and only dabbled in muay thai

But against someone with a 6-8" reach advantage (against 5'5) and knockout ham fist genetics, he would get fuked in one grab and punch
in the streets, mind you, not in a ring where he has time to posture up
good luck throwing knees when a bouncer is lifting his 130lb body off the ground

5'11 150 lbs crew checking in.

Been in several fights. Won a couple, also had my ass kicked by a 5'7 beefed up manlet.

But on a couple occasions I've almost squared off with a fellas quite a bit bigger than I (not saying much) and when they backed down and left, this was me. Dead srs

I actually agree with OP in this. The general etiquette is that you hit as hard as the other person hits. You have newbs like miscers here who come into a gym with a chip on their shoulder trying to swing for the fences to prove a point, the only appropriate response is you go 100 pcts back, and sometimes it ends in a KO.

It will. It reveals you have several years of experience. Several fights with guys that also have experience. Reveals you had time to try a lot of things in a lot of different opponents. It reveals you are aware of distances and positions. It reveals you know how to punch ir order to do as damage as possible and where to punch. It reveals a lot.

I bet OP is a great fighter in his weight class, but 130 is just too small to be dangerous to most fully grown, young males. Not trying to be a jerk, but size matters.

Yes but I assume OP isn't wandering the streets wearing his gi and belt.

Other than that he'll only show what he can demonstrate.. which would be a turning side kick accompanied by a loud 'YUSSSS'

Someone doesnt know what karate is.

Karate is divided divided into three parts. Kihon (Basics), Kumite (Combat) and Kata (Form). You probably watch some Kata tournment and you think you know what karate is.

And the "YUSSSS" name is "Kiai". We do it (specially while we are doing Katas) because it give us energy (it is probably weird how one scream can give energy, but it is the truth).
