I was a very good semi professional heavyweight boxer. It works well until someone stabs you a few times and you're bleeding to death. Same thing with being shot. Physical fighting ability goes so far.
Don't fight unless you're doing it professionally. Second place is you're dead or drooling the rest of your life. If your life is in danger then by all means fight back. Otherwise swallow your pride and ego and walk away.

In a ring official fight like you're used to? You'd probably destroy me.
On the street scenario where I have the impression of being jumped? Anything goes at that point, I wanna live so I'd throw chit, bite, fukkin use any weapon I could get my hands on.

We are all very impressed by your martial arts accomplishments. Too bad you didn't gain any real confidence from them. If you had, you wouldn't feel the need to make threads like this in a sad attempt to prop yourself up.

Eskrima is awesome. Saw it on Discovery'sHuman Weaponand fell in love with it. I'll be joining a gym soon, so will be looking for Eskrima classes but I don't think I'll be lucky. Every gym here focuses on "Aerobic Kickboxing".
lol grabbing his shirt? look, it is a great striking art, but it doesn't automatically make you a good fighter, or if you are good, it doesn't automatically make you capable of better a better/bigger fighter.
while there are many ceremonial/gimmicky martial arts, there are several effective martial arts . And between those,it is not the art that causes the fighter to win, it is the skill level and physical capabilities of the fighters themselves.
before you jump down my throat, i trained in the art formerly, and my wife currently competes (at an amateur level).

I've grappled with a former BJJ world champ before, and I had about 35lbs on him at least. first go, I shot a sweet double, some rolling around for a few seconds, then some how we ended up on our feet. He was able to completely negate my take down despite my strength and size advantage

4 years on and off MMA training. But I'm injured atm so I'll say no, 6'1 85kg (~190lbs) and I'd been back in training? I reckon it'd be fairly even but you'd probably win just due to sparring experience/knowledge of the terrain.
Been beaten by plenty of guys smaller than me that know chit better than me.

Didn't read the thread, but did OP bait people into the obvious answer of "yes i'd rek u, you're a manlet" and then respond with "no I have _____ skillz in MMA"?
cuz, I've heard that one plenty of times, and in my experience unless you are extremely skilled at MMA, like UFC contender level skilled, that **** doesn't help at all when you are in a real fight, except perhaps from an endurance standpoint.

Since we're around the same size and you've had much more training, probably not.
Do you ever go up against taller competitors? What's your strategy for that?
