Sperm counts in the West plunge by 60% in 40 years as ‘modern life’ damages men’s health
Sperm counts have plunged by nearly 60 per cent in just 40 years among men living in the West, according to a major review of scientific studies that suggests the modern world is causing serious damage to men’s health.

Pesticides, hormone-disrupting chemicals, diet, stress, smoking and obesity have all been “plausibly associated” with the problem, which is associated with a range of other illnesses such as testicular cancer and a generally increased mortality rate.

The researchers who carried out the review said the rate of decline had showed no sign of “levelling off” in recent years.

a **** load of things affect test levels, most importantly the time of day the test was taken and whether or not the person slept well the night before.

chris bell did this test on harder faster stronger and said how easy it was to get a low test reading for HRT prescriptions

My father did a checkup recently. It was 1300 lel. God tier levels. He is on supervised replacement therapy.

None taken and no bitch tits lol. He had nearly zero testosterone when it was detected so it’s been trial and error to get the dose dialed. He will be on replacement therapy for the rest of his life. I’m happy he is way more active now and energetic as compared to prior being diagnosed. Baby steps, he is a strong mofo.

Isn't ~200 ng/dl considered chemical castration levels? Like that's what range they put sex offenders on so they have no urges to assault anymore.

Wonder how test levels affect fertility rates as well. Any endocrinologists on misc?

Not surprised. 3/4 look like white hating white people with single mother who grew up and went to college in a Styrofoam dome. Dudes probably never weightlifted or ate meat in their lives. Scary as phuk to see men declining in this way (srs). Test levels are down across the board for averages and these are even lower.

They effect quantity and quality of boners aka these losers arn't breeding, which is a blessing. I'm guessing it would also effect sperm production meaning quality of sperm is probably down as well.

Was talking about about sperm count/strength. If test levels have any significant effect on that. Which most likely does. Interesting topic out of a seemingly pointless thread.

Whats even worse is that the normal range has been lowered because the average male now has lower test than ~40 years ago.
So what we considered low levels 40 years ago are completely normal now, so most men won't be getting treatment like they obviously need.

From what I searched, it doesnt look to effect it. Age seems to be the biggest factor in sperm count and quality. Test looks to be only directly effecting sex drive.

Interesting find. I love reading up on research and med journals. But often find conflicting studies/findings. From an outsiders point of view, I find hormones very fascinating, they control basically most of our bodily functions. How they interact with one another and how one sets out a chain of cascading effects, etc.

Don't know how versed you are in this topic but I always like discussing interesting stuff on here. This forum can be a cool place to learn new info if you can sift through all the garbage. Thanks for the link.

EDIT: I knew it. You can practically tell T levels from face alone.

My jaw is wide af, and I fap all the time and get acne a lot, so I am guessing my T is high. On the other hand, I have never been lean, but I do have a lot of muscle mass too. IDK. Could be low T, could be high T. Will need to ask doctor next time I go.

Because T isn't everything. It's not like a guy with 800 is automatically bigger, stronger and hairier than one with 700 or even 400. This is why women can have 1/10th the T of a man, and be more than 1/10th as muscular and strong. There are many factors.

This is why an endocrinologist will have spent around 14 years studying before they can practice independently.

Across the West, T levels are dropping. Guys in the military and in prison have higher levels. One thing they determine is aggression. In part, more aggressive guys are more likely to sign up or get into violent crime, but also surrounded by other aggressive males, their body pumps up their T to give them more aggression in self-defence, same as the body produces more stimulants if you're an alcoholic, or more depressants if you're a meth addict. The body's always responding to the environment around you as best it can. Our environment is quite simply less physical and aggressive than it was in previous generations.

These buzzfeed guys are not physically active, they don't have Afghan goatherds shooting at them, and nobody is going to shiv them in the bathroom. The most confronting situation they face is a meeting with the boss after they got drunk at the office Christmas party and groped some woman who didn't like it. So they can get by with the testosterone levels of an elderly man.

This does not necessarily mean they find it hard to get out of bed in the morning or are slumped in depression. Many factors.

I actually read that test levels can even affect mental clarity and ability to handle stress. Kind of interesting that male sex hormones are so stigmatized by the media/gov while female sex hormones are given out like candy.

I think we are living in an interesting time. Reading up on stem cell infusions and how they can regenerated damaged nerves - giving someone who had limited motor functions full control again. Sad that this kind of research is banned here in the US.
