We ECA stack now. Had some Chicken and Veggies at...noon. Legit going to hit the sheets eating less than 500-700 calories. Yes I know its not the healthiest option, but I don't care. Gotta get these fat reserves off me fam'o.

Huh, I thought I bitched about it more than that. Anyway, the cliffs notes version is that I'm FA because I spend all my time studying and have no friends and never get outside to do anything.

The more in depth version is that I've got basically a full ride scholarship to college contingent on me keeping a 3.5 GPA in engineering - and IIRC you're an engineerbrah, you probably know that's no walk in the park. If I can't make that, I'm basically kicked out of this college cause I can't afford it without financial aid. So I LDAR'ed on school from the word "go" freshman year, and just started dumping like 70 hours a week into academics. People freshman year would ask me if I wanted to go with them to a frat party- I'd blow them off cause I had a test that week.

Eventually of course they just quit talking to me, and I went hermit mode. I'd go like a whole week without talking to anyone but professors or cashiers, and I'm pretty sure I ate every meal alone sophomore year. I've got anxiety and deal horribly with pressure, and every class was like "get As or go home" kind of pressure, so I was wigged the **** out every day and just pissed at the world; it was a mess. That's where the username came from: I signed up for misc at like the nadir of that all in fall 2015, and pretty much just joined to make FA rants.

Life has got 10000000x better since my grades got so high that they basically can't kick me out now, but now I'm stuck with the leftovers of those first 2-3 years here. I have no friends or social circle, I do nothing but academics, I've let my social skills just go to waste for three years, and I've pretty much got the conversational ability of a cardboard box. Some people started talking to me once they figured out that I really knew my ****, but all anyone wants to talk to me about is homework.

I got thinking the other day, I honestly don't remember the last conversation I've had that wasn't centered around school. It's got to be at least since September. So STEM is like this huge social comfort zone for me, I've got some rednecky hobbies I can discuss and show some personality, but otherwise I have a tough time just holding a basic conversation with someone. Again - I haven't really talked about anythingbutSTEM in like a fukkin month.

Rangerbrah - I appreciate the optimism, I honestly do. That's probably the first time that anyone's actually bet that I'll get laid. But as of right now, I have zero options on the horizon.

Since this a thread about men and we have no real self-improvement threads going on on the misc i will post my progress here.

To give you guys an idea where i started and where i am now:
9 SEPTEMBER
Almost on NC for 4 weeks. Feeling better by the day. At first i was heartbroken as ****, but i'm beginning to get accustomed with being 'alone'.

Things i'm currently doing:
- reading books about philosophy and psychology. Currently reading predictable irrational
- dieting (getting more ripped)
- picked up MMA
- got a 2nd job
- reading a lot about self-improvement
- socialize more with my family

Things I've planned:
- Sept 8: laser therapy to get rid of my tattoo
- Sept. 22: getting my ClearCaps braces (like Invisalign)
- Jan. 2018: hair transplant in Istanbul to get rid of my temples.
- Jan. 2018 getting my own apartment.
- Oct. 2018 first official fight with MMA
UPDATE 20 OCTOBER
At this point i'm NC for almost 3 months i think. I still have times where i feel the urge to contact her, just to say 'hi' and let her know that i hope she takes good care of herself, but i know that contacting her at this point in time brings me no closer in getting full closure.

The negatives: 1) i stopped reading a lot about philosophy, psychology and self-improvement. 2) My physique is still the same as it was 3 months ago. 3) not getting an apartment; the good thing about this though is that i safe a lot of money to invest in myself.

the positives: 1) i got my first laser treatment for getting rid of my tattoo. Next laser session is planned on November 4th. 2) I have paid for my Clear Caps braces. Will probably arrive within the next 2 weeks. It's safe to say i will have my braces in, within 3 weeks. 3) hair transplant is moved to February 2018. Flight will be booked in November. 4) I'm currently in the works of starting my own company. Already talked to a lawyer to get the legal issues sorted out. For this, i will be traveling to India in December to talk with a company there. 5) will 'publish' a scientific paper on Research Gate. The idea was to officially get the paper published in a scientific Journal, but since i lack an ' Ethics of Approval' this seems not possible. Therefore it was decided to publish it on Research Gate and the idea is, to get this done before November 15th (just need to finish translating it in English)
Small update on the current situation today:
- My flight to Istanbul has been booked and paid for. Will be traveling to Istanbul for my hair transplant on February 5th
- Research paper is translated and is now being verified by a PHD student.
- booked a flight to Prague to celebrate New Year with some newly made friends i met just after the break-up. They invited me since they knew i was dealing with a break-up, so that's cool.

- i want to improve my physique badly. Start a new diet today. No calorie counting, just healthier and smarter eating. Will update on progress.

Plans for today:
today i'm going to shoot some pictures of myself in suit. A friend of mine will be taking the shots, and after that we will have a diner in a restaurant. Haven't seen him for like 3 months, so it is nice to see and talk to him again.

what are the plans for you guys?

Good bye sweet muscle, libido, mood, etc you sure about this, especially sustaining it? You got a girl now, what's the rush. You a strong minded dude, but there is high risk of binging when you do actually start eating again.

Its unfortunate that your academics require you to shove everything else aside but these few years now dictate the remainder of your life so keep grinding and continue to make this a priority bro. Respect, you'll be a boss and laughing soon so stick it out! You sure you ain't being excessive with the studies though? You mentioned this is college, not university so I would expect its a tad easier, no? What stream of engineering? Geez, I went to college (I'm actually a traffic technologist but can write to be a limited engineer in 2 years) and may of put in 70hrs into my studies in 2 months lol. I guess it showed and you don't want to role model me as I took the 6 yr program for what should have taken 3.5 years lol. I wasn't in a rush and wanted to have fun.

Do you feel you have time for dating given your goals and gpa you must upkeep? If not, I guess you just need to wait it out until you graduate. Becoming somebody must be your priority, not women at this time. Not to get too rusty though, you should be exercising your social skills on the reg. Whenever you can/go out in public, try talking to strangers of all ages and both genders to maintain being comfortable in social settings. You sound like a smart dude, surely you are capable of this. You can talk about your surroundings, something you notice about them and you can also get into nouning to keep convo flowing (surely you've seen my many posts on nouning? Holler if not). Nouning especially with women you talk to/go on dates with as these convo's will carry on longer.

What is your experience with women? You good looking or no? You come off as if you have alot of potential just no time.

Did you have any friends in high school? If so, do you keep in touch with them?

For once I agree with Nedo's sentiments: grind it out now for a pay-off down the line...

I just got done reading Charles Bukowski's "Women", and if I took away anything from the book, it was that Bukowski hustled and grinded out life for his first 50 years, but when he finally "made it" at 50, his life changed over night - he was fukin' more girls than he'd ever gotten 50 years prior, and most were in their early 20s, yet the dude was older and uglier than he'd ever been.

Now... there's an argument to be made that Bukowski is an exception rather than the norm, but stilll, I thought his story emphasised quite well how your life can turn around once you've "made it", as we say on the misc.

However, I see a lot of threads on the misc where guys are like, "Fellas... I've made it, but women still don't want anything to fukin' do with me? I got a successful career, house, nice car, good physique... what do?". But what usually accompanies these threads is that the guy sounds like a fukin' robot, and almost everything he did was purely for the pay-off and because society said so.

Having said all of that, making it as a writer leads to fame and a romantic reputation, but making it as an engineer leads to... more money? At least that means high class escorts are a viable option.

It leads to what you make of it. Engineer, cool beans with a good personality and half decent looks, lookout! They are the extreme minority though from what I've seen.

Technologist brahs: always fluff yourself up to women and tell them you work in engineering. You ain't lying technically. I will let it be known though if they specifically ask if I'm an engineer. INb4 hate from P Eng's

Nah brah, that's just an ambiguous platitude akin to "well everything works out alright in the end", "plenty of fish in the sea", "oh you'll find someone eventually", etc, etc, etc.

Empty ass words.

I'd wager mainly top tier engineers and/or good-looking ones do alright when it comes to women. It's not like being a musician where you can easily get tail regardless of whether you're chart topping or some peasant playing garbage at the local pub.

I'm at a university - at least in the US we use college and university interchangeably. As far as studying hours being excessive - I dunno if it is or not, honestly. Most people here get out a couple nights a week. But I pull an all nighter nearly every week for my circuit design lab (Wednesday and Thursday are kind of just the same day now) and after talking to people, that's more common than not. I don't know what kind of time students with my kind of grades put in.

I did have some friends in high school, but they were all FAs. I went to a STEM magnet high school lol, it was like the fukkin Big Bang Theory. I loved that place, brb Counter Strike LAN matches during class, but there were 0 girls there by senior year and everyone was a mega fukkin dork. I talk with those guys on a text group pretty regularly, but out of 7 or 8 of us, I don't think any of us have kissed a girl yet.

I've got zero experience with girls of any kind. Stats 5'7" 150 (lmao) and I have a really young looking face/zero facial hair.

Lmao. Related to the point above:

I was just at a fast food joint late tonight and ended up sitting by an older black lady - who as always gavezero****s - while waiting for my food. She got talking with me.

"You go to school here?"
"Yeah, I'm a senior."
"Senior? Damn, you look like a 12th grader."

Feels kinda bad man.

It's better to have them think you look younger than older. People have said I look like I'm in my late 20s-early 30s (I have a mature looking face). Though people tend to take you more seriously and respect you if you look older.

I consider myself fairly knowledgeable about cars. That said...what is with every single battery and starter brand out there being "****" according to the internet? Most batteries are made by johnson controls regardless of the brand, and why do starter solenoid prices vary so much? I see 20 bucks to 200 ? My mind is literally shattered right now.

Was talking with one of the aesthetic/Chad brahs I know in the gym earlier. He was telling me about the married chick he fuked in the tanning room a few weeks ago and who he's been fukcing regularly now. Chick came up to him and said "My husband wants you to fuk me". LOL. He found out she was lying about the husband part though.

Reminds me of AR-15s. People bitch about S&W vs Ruger vs Del-Ton or whatever, but all of their parts are made by the exact same third party companies and they all just assemble them. I'm not a car guy, but if I had to guess, it's some similar kind of gearhead fanboy BS.

No idea about the starters though. Solenoids are pretty damn simple though, I have no idea how a solenoid switch would cost $200.

Yeah, I'm at that point where the "lack of respect" plays a bigger part though. When I'm working in an office with a bunch of 40-50 year old middle aged dudes, it's just like a duck out of water. I look like someone brought their kid to work or something, felt weird man.

Because you will only ever see complaints on the internet. No one cares to go on and rave about it if something is good, for the most part.

Costco for battery, best warranty and should be less than most other places too. Hastle free return policy to boot. Aside from this, I'd go Interstate.

As much as I love WRXs and STis ? ****.THE.STARTER.PLACEMENT. What should have been a 5 minute job turned into a 1 hour fight. If you don't have an impact wrench? LOL good luck brah. In short I think its the battery. I'm getting intermittent starts after the car sits. Once it starts? It'll run all day, but early in the morning in the cold? It won't start without like 10+ key turns.

For the past 2-3 weeks I was just barely eating around 75g carbs a day and it was a living hell. Waking up in the morning was damn near impossible....I'd set my alarm for 7:45 (easily doable under normal circumstances) and would keep spamming snooze until I 'd just give up and sleep untli 11 o ****ing clock, even then I'd still be tired the whole day. Getting to the gym was hard too, but I did look fairly slim tight and solid.

My mom roasted me a couple of weeks ago, said I could live off of my bodyfat for few days and she's probably right lol Not sure if its crappy genetics or what but I don't get anywhere unless I eat <2000 WITH cardio or consistently eat 1500-1800 a day

Intermittent tells me it could be a flat spot in the starter or alternator. Can't remember which gets it, although I think its starter. If the voltage on battery is good, can't be it. I've also had intermittent start issues when a bad alternator was slowly draining the battery while car is sitting so check if there is substantial draw. A bit is normal.

The good news: I just got a contract for an internship this summer paying $29/hr. My eyes popped when I saw that number. As far as I care, that's fukkin baller money and more than I know what to do with. It's work that I find really interesting to do as well.

The bad news: I basically had to commit to grad school to get that. I think an MS will be a good move long term: I got talking to a professor the other day, and he said there is a lot of demand not being met for circuit design guys with masters because no one but international students actually goes to grad school. But at the same time, I'm really tired of putting things off for "long term". My whole life 14-22 has just been putting things off for the long term, and it's got really fukkin old for a few years now.

Grad school is basically a 2 year FA contract extension. Between TA'ing, classes, and research, they keep you really fukkin busy, and if I was to enroll tomorrow, I would be the only US born grad student in a department of ~30.

The other good news: I bought an AR rifle kit to build over Christmas. It's got a 20" pencil barrel like the old Vietnam rifles. Feels good man.

Sup guys, finally started to get my life on track. Applied myself, and it was the scariest **** ever, but I managed to get a job for the first time in my life [20]. Pay's ****, hours are bad, but my perspective is to take everything as a learning experience....I'm definitely going to keep my mind open, and will look for opportunities.

From other people's perspective's, what is your take on taking up a second job? If you did, how were you able to manage your time?

Currently working 11 pm - 7 am, if anyone has any tips/experience working this shift, I'd love to hear from you.

Most MGTOW song I've heard in awhile to go mainstream

Surprised it got so popular and got air time by the mainstream media!
While you were partying I studied the Blade.
