If you think AR-15s are useless for home defense, you are incredibly ignorant. (PIC)

I'll break this one down a bit.
First, it has a 10.5" barrel so it is a SBR (Short Barreled Rifle) according to the ATF which required me to submit a lengthy application process, background check (in addition to the one I went through when I bought it as a pistol), a 3 month wait, and a $200 tax stamp just to be able to add a stock to it.
The short barrel is practical for HD as it gives me a smaller overall length to wield inside a home.
It also has a suppressor. Which took another background check, another 6 month wait, and another $200 tax stamp. All so that if I have to fire the rifle in defense in the home it won't blow my hearing out and/or that of my family.
A 500 Lumen weapon mounted light with strobe function allows me to illuminate, positively identify, and disorient a threat without having to move my hands from a firing position.
People often use handguns for home defense, but a handgun is used to fight your way to a long gun. Handguns are by nature not accurate weapons with their short barrels and short sight radius. Especially under stress, when your adrenaline dump hits and you lose fine motor control. Long barrel and holographic sight ensure round go where they intend.
Bringing a long gun to a gun fight is like bringing a chainsaw to a knife fight.
The AR platform is also light and has zero if any felt recoil so it is easily managed by not just me but also my wife, and allows for rapid well aimed follow on shots.
Rifles produce hydrostatic shock, handguns for the most part do not.
Handguns have half the magazine capacity of an AR.
So, all rambling aside. This is the perfect HD weapon. Gun grabbers can kiss my ass.
