iPhone has always been a premium phone. Android has different phones for different budgets. If you buy a premium Android phone iPhone turns into garbage. Being restricted to their crappy os is insulting. They hold your little hand and spoon feed you crap you don't like. until you like it.

Lifetime Windows users turned MacOS user as of 3 months ago. MacOS is the best consumer os and it's not even remotely close. That said, getting one is kind of like getting an entry level bmw 3series. As in you could get a lot more bang for your buck "under the hood" shopping domestic/windows, but the MacOS build quality is vastly superior on every level.

Did the opposite with the iPhones. I was a lifer iPhone user up to the 6. What broke me down constantly was having storage maxouts no matter how many pics/videos I deleted. One day I just snapped and Instantly went to Verizon and traded it in for a Galaxy S7. It's way more functional and practical, but the UI is poverty as fuk in comparison, and the text app is downright primitive and disgusting. I honestly was gonna go back to iPhone until they forced that horrible wireless earbuds setups. That killed it for me, but I miss the iOS every day.

You should try MIUI if you want an apple look and feel. Forget it, you won't understand.

EDIT: Apple OS sells for 30 bucks from the Apple store and it's a UNIX spin off. This tells you how much they up charge customers for hardware.

Meh, honestly I prefer Apple products for the aesthetics.

I grew up with computers, having been spending my life on them even since the dial-up days, so I'm not some technology illiterate normie. But for both my laptop and my phone, I just prefer the aesthetic casing of Apple products and the aesthetic UI. And all I really do on my phone is check social media, watch Netflix, and listen to music, so I don't have any reason to customize chit or go under the hood. I'm also extremely lazy so all I want is the bare minimum simplicity, for the same reason I'll just buy chit now instead of pirating because I can't be assed putting in more than 10 minutes of effort, lol.

It's pretty much a looks vs personality thing, but with phones. I prefer a top shelf HBB with a passable personality over a mildly attractive 7/10 girl with a great personality.

iPhones are objectively the lesser of the two phone experiences.

I had an iPhoneX for two days. Returned it. Here is my experience (my last iphone was an SE):

1. iPhones still force you to use the entire screen for your icons. If you put everything into folders, then the folders are at the very top of the page. This makes it impossible to use your thumbs to select anything. Most of my android apps are towards the bottom for one-handed usability.

2. Iris scanner is fine, but it worked 7-8 times out of ten. For such a premium >$1000 phone this is not acceptable.

3. My battery life was atrocious. If i didnt charge overnight, say goodbye to 40-50% without even touching the phone. My note might lose 4-5% overnight if i dont touch it. Thank android DOZE.

4. The screen is OK at best. Definitely not top 3 for sure. Sunlight visibility was rough too. It cannot get very bright, ESPECIALLY when compared to Samsung screens.

5. The absolute WORST thing about it is the drivers/itunes experience. I work IT after my fulltime job, and my phone has historically been my main storage. I have operating systems, antiviruses, malware scanners, drivers, you name it. When going to a clients house I can plug my phone in and within 2-3 minutes of downloading a tiny driver access my phones storage like a large flashdrive. For iPhones? LOL! Download a 150mb+ exe just to be able to access the music/videos it. Music and videos which WILL NOT WORK outside of that environment.

I know it is almost popular to hate on apple, but these things are inexcusable in 2017. Truly. They still havent moved to typce c? Really? Cmon...

I'm not going to suggest a custom rom since it sounds like it's not your thing, but maybe a custom launcher will help you?

Fixed that for you. But I will entertain your post - what exactly are you talking about? Give me an example of something you can use logic and objective explanations to prove that iPhones>Android phones.

And can you also please use logic to disprove any of the things I mentioned in my larger post above?

Do you not need itunes (250mb file) just to even access the phones memory?
Does apples newest ipx not have a quantifiably worse screen than over a dozen phones on the market?

Are they notalwaysseveral steps behind other phones when it comes to specs? Sure the A11 chip is nice, but when compared to other phones in daily use it consistently loads apps slower? Maybe its the low RAM? It tests better on benchmarks, but benchmarks are horrible indicators of daily use.

Are we really still pretending Siri can hold a candle to Google AI? I mean seriously? You know how many apple users download google assistant from the appstore? Wanna know how many android users download siri? Lol none.

Tell me more about how iphones are better my friend.

iPhones are beautiful devices but it's like.. pay at least £500+ or we aren't interested. You can pick up a tank of a phone for £100 with android and it still does everything you need it to do but the camera might not be as good which is where you can upgrade for £100 or £200 depending on your needs

Just wow whoever said Android brahs refuse to listen to logic was right.

The iTunes file access issue is a legitimate concern. Not one of mine, since I use Spotify + Google Photos / iCloud Photos + AirDrop. I don't download music anymore since I'm not a peasant, I stream/DL from Plex, Photos/iCloud Photos sync automatically to my Mac when I open it up. I use AirDrop to transfer 4K24 video from Filmic Pro and RAW photos from ProCam to my Mac in 3.5 seconds. So I can't identify with that but for "power users" it's an issue. iTunes sucks and I legitimately have not opened it in 2 years.

Regarding the screen "facts," well those are false. Samsung made the panels for the iPhone X with a custom design from Apple. In fact, DisplayMate has rated it"the Best Performing Smartphone Display that we have ever tested, earning DisplayMate’s highest ever A+ grade. The iPhone X is an impressive display with close to Text Book Perfect Calibration and Performance!"

It's one of the most, if not the most color accurate OLED displays on the market right now.

The A11 blows any Qualcomm or Exynos chip out of the water by far. No it doesn't really load apps slower, although given it's newness a lot of apps aren't optimized for the A11 chip yet so there could be some points where the Note 8 beats it, but that'll be equalized once the devs catch up.

RAM isn't an issue. iOS 11 had chit tier RAM management but it was fixed in 11.1.1 (or 11.2 Public Beta 2, I can't remember).

iOS animations do make for a slower but smoother experience, which in reality does slow things down a little bit since you have to wait for the animations.

Siri is ass compared to Google AI and is crippled by Apple's stance on privacy and always will be. That being said even if Apple stopped caring and started collecting massive amounts of user data I don't think they'd be able to catch up (or would have a really hard time doing so).

So can confirm, I download the Google app. I don't really use Siri or Google Assistant though since I can do chit faster myself.

#2: Apple did a poor job of educating the public on FaceID. It can be trained by entering the PIN upon unsuccessful attempts to train it to learn the new face position/look. Also it's not an Iris scanner (probably a typo though). And FaceID blows away the facial scanner of the Note 8 as it uses IR to create a 3D map of the face rather than a picture. I expect Samsung to come up with an alternative in their next phone though.

#3: Idk about that. My 6S+ and 8+ have lasted up to 2 days when just on mostly standby and I've gone to sleep and woken up with it losing 10% charge at most. So I dunno. I do know the X had worse battery life than the 8+ but that seems excessive. Idk though.

Type C yeah you're right on that. It's purely a cash grab by Apple here. And dumb decision making when the latest MBP is all USB-C.
