Hi everyone, long time lurker here. Big thanks for all the tinder tips shared here - these threads are extremely helpful.

Quick question: my tinder plus is about to expire, and before renewing I wanted to know how frequently you get boosts on the current tinder plus? (I'm in the UK if this matters)

I'm currently getting one boost a week, but I heard it's been reduced to one a month. If this is the case, is there any chance that by allowing my tinder plus subscription to automatically renew, I will continue getting one boost a week?

I was planning to wait a bit before renewing, but if the automatic renewal keeps me on one boost a week then I won't bother waiting.

im in UK but havent been on tinder for a while - however i only ever did my plus subscription month by month (not 6 months at a time for example)

last time i was on it was around april/may time and i had been reduced to once a month

Anyone else matching more bots than usual these days? Normally I don't get more than 2-3 matches a day, but the past week or so I've had 10+ and the girls have all been 7+.

Thinking about deleting the app and starting fresh.

Edit: also changed my main pic to a new shirtless mirror selfie I took yesterday. Im turned to the side showing delt thickness, chest/ab definition, V tapered to my waist. Beard is lookin thick and its a good shot showing the detail in my tattoos, and facial features. Lotta pics have my ink covered up with clothes/or taken too far that it looks like I have a black upper arm and chest. This is a little closer (from waist up) with good lighting so shows the ink nice.

Could be completely random, but Ive always had a theory that if you change up your pic(s) with new pic(s) you can get a mini boost.

Also from the UK, also still getting the free weekly boost. I signed up for my Tinder Plus account just over a year ago and have been paying monthly since. I think getting the free boost weekly or monthly depends on when you started your Tinder Plus subscription. If you started it around a year ago, and have been paying for it continuously with no breaks, you should still be getting the free weekly boost. If you started the Tinder Plus subscription later like January 2017 onwards, you will probably get monthly, since that's when Tinder changed over from 1 free weekly to 1 free monthly boosts.

If I was you basically, I would keep the subscription rolling over, so you carry on the free weekly boost. In the unlikely event that it changes to only 1 free monthly boost, you can easily cancel the subscription if you pay monthly like I have been doing since the beginning.

Don't forget, Tinder is adding116,000 new paid members every month(source:). In any decent city, you are competing against hundreds, if not thousands, of other men boosting ahead of you.

I haven't matched a bot in over a month. That seems very bizarre though, since I see a ton of profiles that are very obviously fake. For instance, in my area there are a ton of profiles with model looking photos, 5 miles away, and bios in French despite no one in this area speaks French.

I don't really understand the point of these fake profiles though - I've swiped on plenty and never matched one before.

The fake profiles are created by affiliate marketers. They've built software that can automate the process of creating ********/tinder profiles, so they can make profiles in serious volume in very little time with very little effort. Then they run scripts so the profiles swipe right on 20/100 male profiles, spreading their swiping throughout the day so they can fly under the radar. Lets say they match 10 out of the 20 (although its probably more), and the bot opens to half (5). 4 guys know its a fake account. But 1 guy is tindering alone in his bed at night fantasizing about the girl and the bot sends a link to a cam girl site. The guy is horny so clicks the link and... boom he has pussy moving in his face on his phone...so he takes out his credit card and buys a cam girl chat for $20 lets say. The cam girl site owner takes $10, and pays the affiliate marketer $10.

$10 from one profile in 1 day (that took seconds to create.) Multiple that by thousands of profiles, everyday, and you might want to reconsider your career path.

The waves of more bots/less bots we experience is just a result of the police and thieves game the marketers play with tinder.

I was getting a ton at one point and deleted my profile and started fresh and seem to get way less. I can tell a bot easily though so I rarely match with one. Usually the picture selecton is fairly obvious on the bots. or the bio doesnt match at all. In my experience they always seem to have 4 pictures...sometimes 3 though. Never seen a bot with 6 pictures before

Oh, yes I totally get the reasoning behind why bots exist. I'm just confused why none of them ever match me. I've swiped on a ton when I'm not paying attention and quickly swiping on anything that looks 6/10+. Maybe I've just been lucky recently, but it's been over a month since I've had a bot message me.
