Why do you have to put in an ask price when setting up a stop loss sell on bittrex? That doesn't make much sense but it won't let me leave it blank.

edit - thought I did it right but it just blew past my stop loss.

Found this an interesting tweet by Charter Thomas

Over 20 years (5,027 trading days) the avg return for the S&P 500 was 9.22%
If you missed the 20 days with the biggest gains the returns were 3.02%
If you missed the 40 days w/ the biggest gains the returns were -1.02%

That is one thing I dislike about Binance. They should change it to .01 for trading. Not 1.0.

Well I had a stop loss set but it didn't work so I guess I'll hold. It's got such a small market cap it has so much room to grow. One of those coins I should just buy and forget about for a few months

Expecting something to show 20% gains day after day is insanity. Don't pay such close attention to those daily percentages, they are kind of deceiving.

Still holding all of my ZEN. I may play with 5 to 10% in trying swing trade a little here and there, but I'm holding on to all 9,300 of mine.

I have alt coins, but I don't understand people saying theres no reason to be in BTC right now? The fork was confusing for most people looking into bitcoin, now that theres no fork (at least for now), I would say confidence in bitcoin will go up from the average joe, and even from me. I mean i am in the alt market too, but the idea of dealing with a forked coin trying to replace BTC had me worried how it would all play out. Now that it's not happening I feel much safer putting more money into bitcoin and alt coins too.

i mean i wasnt saying they legit invest in alts, although im sure they do

i just mean if they stuck 10 mil in walton right before they released the news. walton almost doubled immediately

now theyd have 20 mil. just a quick flip knowing the market would go berserk

to call it off is such bs imo. they really reveled in that month of btc attention

did we ever hear it was a possibility they wouldnt go through with it? i wonder why

The price you initiate the buy is the amount you get. So if you bought 1 LTC at $50 but takes a week to clear and it's now worth $70, you have 1 LTC worth $70 when it finally clears.

Where the **** do you live, Canada?

BTC has been pretty stable for the last 10 or so hours. I can't make some good turn around's when it isn't spiking/dipping.

Just bought 700 LTC @ 66.81. Wish me luck.

I got ****ed the last time I held on to it. It peaked at $38 in 2013 and fell down to a few measly dollars for 3 or 4 years lol. To be honest I don't have that much money sitting around to be holding bags for that long.

I know I'm repeating myself but on Gemini ACH deposits are available for trading immediately.
Rn use Coinbase for BTC.

Is it a good time to grab ETH at the current price? I am verifying an account on Gemini currently, ACH transfers are painful. I'm hoping I can buy ETH today or tomorrow if the ACH is fast.

Gemini fees are only 0.25% to buy so probably less than Coinbase. Not sure what Coinbase fees are but from comments here they seem high.
Coinbase is high, but if you use GDAX, which is the coinbase platform, the fees are way lower.
