BCH going back up now wtf

Dumped some of my BCH into eth now just as a failsafe, BCH seems to be going back up now

tempted to just stop checking now and see what happens in a few hours

Holy fk. I bought in at 1000 yesterday and it went down to 900 so I panicked and sold. When I woke up this morning it was at 1300 so I went all in. Then when it got to 1700 later in the evening and BCH was still going full steam ahead I sold everything because I had plans with the boys. I wanted to cancel the outting so bad, but I didn't since I had already bailed on them a couple of times on previous weekends. Sold since I didn't want to leave everything on BCH on such a crazy weekend and historic event (overtaking Ethereum). Then I made the big mistake of checking on my phone and when I saw that the price was at 2300 I FOMOed and when I got home I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the price at 1300 on Bittrex and that the Korean exchange driving all this was down.

At that point though, there was no way in hell I was going to sell at a loss of $10 000 and decided to whether the storm. Deep down though I was I was obviously pulling my hairs out, but now that Bithumb is back up the price skryocketed back up to 1750 and I fking hope it keeps going up to my buy in point.

The change in market cap does not equal the same amount of money added to the market.

Say i have an orderbook with the following sell orders for BTC/USD:

200-----------$6,400

Now lets pretend I'm a mid level player and I decide to buy 100 BTC at 'market price'.

The exchange automatically buys for me from the lowest order to the highest order and now the order book looks like this with 100 BTC taken out:

QTY(BTC)-----Price(USD)
70------------$6,300
200-----------$6,400

You see I've pushed the price of BTC out to $6,300 which represents a market cap increase of $5 billion($300*16,675,800 (total supply).

I have effectivelyincreasedthe market cap by $5b with a 100BTC buy.

You cute little fukers now realise:

-Change in market cap =/= the same money in or out of the system.
-Market cap can be heavily manipulated especially when volume is low or there be a whale.

I'd probably pull out of BCH back into BTC in about 16 hours. Mining difficulty will be worse than BTC and miners will switch back to it.

Wasn't even that great of a night tbh. I left knowing I'd be missing a lot of action ($$$) in the cryptoworld, so definitely wasn't in the mood for getting yucky with the boys. Then when I went on my phone later I felt terrible when I saw I could have made an ADDITIONAL $10k tonight, so that's when I fked up and bought. Now my night has obviously gone to hell with the big dip. Feeling kind of better now though that the price has climbed back up to $1800 and I was SO close to selling at $1250. I was literally a click away, had my sell order in and everything and had my mouse hovering over the sell button, but didn't since deep down I had a small glimmer of hope that the price would climb back up once Bithumb got their **** together. So as bad as this was, this could have been much much worse.

I hope he succeeds. We're watching a coupe taking place and civil war.

I really dont, I feel this will ruin a lot for bitcoin and crypto. How will any real investors ever want to buy into bitcoin knowing that it can fork at anytime, and one day just be worthless? And all this hype about bitcoin supply being finite, well **** that lets just fork it again and create bitcoin silver.

I know satoshis vision for bitcoin was for it to be used in everyday transactions, but the reason its become this popular is because of its store of value ability, in my opinion. I really dont get why its so important to have bitcoin fulfil both purposes, when other alts show promise of much better scalability. To me it seems like Roger Ver and the like would rather have crypto burned to the ground, chasing the original satoshi vision (and tons of money), when in reality the original vision could easily be fulfilled instead with cryptocurrency as a whole.
