https://fork.lol/blocks/time
look at how many more blocks BCH miners are getting right now
think in terms of coin not dollars
BCH is STACKING coin right now, and yes maybe at a $ profit day by day, but massive piles of BCH compared to BTC being mined
from a miners perspective, they are building a premine mountain of BCH
now look at hash power
https://fork.lol/pow/hashrate
They are already 60% to bitcoins 40%
retarget is in a few hours, like 4. At that point the DOLLAR profit of switching back to BTC goes back up to the top. However that is linked to the DOLLAR price of BTC. Not accounting for future value of either
So miners have this giant pile of BCH, and they can either insta dump, or they can hold and continue mining BCH at a per day DOLLAR loss, I think its like 1-10mil
but if they can successfully get BCH to the top, their BCH premine pile does like a 2-3-4x
so its way more profitable than switching, IF they coordinate
Proceed with caution. If you want to be safe might want to be in ETH for the next few hours/days
Edit: For context, I used to run a bitcoin mine in venezuela about 2 years ago, and to date I have been an extreme believer in Bitcoin. I think this is simply a hostile iteration of Bitcoin.

There is a good chance bitcoin BTC is about to lose a lot of value fast. Its better to stay out of it for the next few days or get some BCH which is the real bitcoin by definition and code. (I said this when btc was over $7000 if u remember)
So its better to stay out or gamble a little bit with whatever one u like.
I have .22 btc stuck in a transaction for a day now. I am mad its losing value as its stuck.
I dont like Bianance, no wires or fiat.

IMO this is all terrible for Crypto as a whole. We have all of this hype and people watching BTC closely thinking about jumping in and then they go and make it super volatile right when big money is getting ready to flow in.
I think the worst thing that could happen is BTC being taken over while its this big. Average person and even a lot of traders will look at that and think there is now a much bigger risk and it isn't really decentralized at all.

Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

"There is no contractual right or other right or legal claim against us to redeem or exchange your Tethers for money. We do not guarantee any right of redemption or exchange of Tethers by us for money. There is no guarantee against losses when you buy, trade, sell, or redeem Tethers."
They are meant to avoid KYC and AML laws and ease tax accounting issues, but are likely not actually backed by USD as suggested. Be cautious. I would consider looking at ETH as a better place to store currency

Just finished watching this video that someone posted on biz. This random trucker guy has one really crazy theory on the BTC/BCH war.
Cliffs:
-Crypto will explode even harder next year
-The war for control over crypto between the west (btc) and the east (bch) is just getting started
-Both groups will pump huge amounts of money into their respective coins to win the war
-The west has unlimited amounts of USD to pump in while the east has limited amounts
-It is best to hold both
If there is any truth to his theory we are in for one hell of a ride.

Does anyone else use Gemini and what are your thoughts on their BTC situation?

As for my BTC being stuck, that is pretty unfortunate as I was hoping to use some to buy some cheap alts, but I'm a BTC believer, so I'm not worried long term. Though I also plan to buy more ETH next just so I can move funds around easier.
